  1. CLOSE!published at 32 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Andre Gray almost makes it two with one of his first touches of the ball!

Will Hughes picks the striker out inside the area, Gray swivels on the spot but his shot is well blocked as Norwich recover just in time.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 29 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Yep, Roberto Pereyra can't continue here.

It's Andre Gray who comes on, with Troy Deeney perhaps not quite ready for an hour on the field.

  3. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

A brief stop in play as Roberto Pereyra receives some treatment after taking a bit of a knock.

He's coming back on, but he may not be on for much longer...

It's a welcome break for many of the players I assume after a lightning-fast start.

You have no idea where this game is going to go. Just when Norwich look like they have a foothold Watford break forward again.

The way tackles are flying in we are probably going to see bookings or red cards.

How on earth did Norwich defeat Man City on this showing? Take nothing away from Watford though. Impressive.

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Onel Hernandez is looking incredibly dangerous for Norwich so far.

He charges down the left, knocking the ball straight past Daryl Janmaat before eventually being crowded off the ball.

All of Norwich's best play has gone through him so far.

  7. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

    What a chance for Norwich!

Watford can't deal with the pace of Onel Hernandez at all. The Cuban races onto a through-ball but Ben Foster is quick to react and smothers the shot.

The ball rolls back out to Teemu Pukki, but the Norwich striker can't quite get a solid attempt away under pressure.

Aleksander: I've maintained all season that Watford will be fine. They have the players, a first win could really kick-start their season.

Chris: Both games cracking! Got one on the TV and one on the laptop!

I don't think there was a foul there. No chance. Kenny McLean is probably lucky to not get a yellow card there for going down that easily.

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

    Norwich want a penalty!

Kenny McLean goes down under a challenge from Jose Holebas just as he threatened to pull the trigger.

Referee Andre Marriner dismisses that one straight away.

  11. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

It's cleared without trouble by Craig Dawson, and Norwich do well to prevent Watford breaking at pace.

The hosts wrestle back possession and earn a free-kick, which is delivered into the box superbly by Emi Buendia. It falls to Alexander Tettey at the back post but the centre-back makes a complete mess of his shot.

  12. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Norwich take their turn to ask questions of the Watford defence, with Teemu Pukki forcing his way through to the by-line but unable to pick out a team-mate.

The Canaries have the visitors penned in to their own half now though, and they force another corner...

  13. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Gerard Deulofeu's goal after 76 seconds is actually the second fastest scored away from home in the Premier League this season.

Only Harry Kane's strike against Liverpool (47 seconds) was quicker.

The Watford players all look comfortable on the ball at the moment, particularly Gerard Deulofeu.

He doesn't care how many players he has around him.

  15. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Roberto Pereyra switches play with a beautiful cross-field ball into the path of Jose Holebas on the left flank and, typical of Watford's early confidence here, the left-back launches a powerful shot from distance.

His effort is quickly closed down, though, but Watford are in the mood and maintain their early pressure.

  16. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Norwich haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 10 home Premier League games now, their longest run since their first 10 games at Carrow Road in the 2011-12 season.

They've managed to get a foot on the ball now, but can they force a quick response?

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

When he picked up the ball Gerard Deulofeu was a good 30 yards out.

The Norwich players all backed off and it didn't take much just one little step-over. It was a nice finish but that was rotten defending.

    Norwich 0-1 Watford

Watford have come flying out of the blocks at Carrow Road!

The Hornets force a corner, and Daryl Janmaat frees himself from any Norwich defenders but sends his header well over the bar.

  19. goal

GOAL - Norwich 0-1 Watfordpublished at 2 mins

    Gerard Deulofeu

Friday night football - it's happening again!

That is far, far too easy for Gerard Deulofeu, who glides through Norwich defenders before curling the ball neatly to the left of Tim Krul with his left foot.

The perfect start for the visitors!

  20. 'It's a different system every week'published at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2019

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

At the moment they are not hot. It's a different system every week for Watford and they are still hoping to land on one.

When they get Troy Deeney back and Gerard Deulefeu in full flight that might be enough for them.

With Etienne Capoue being back and in with Abdoulaye Doucoure in the centre of midfield they steady it in there and allow others to fly.
