    Off we go then!

It's also referee Andre Marriner's first Premier League game in charge since that night.

    Stranger things have happened...

It's chucking it down, but there's a great atmosphere at Carrow Road as the teams line up in the tunnel.

It's clear on the faces of both sets of players the potential significance of this one.

Kick-off is less than five minutes away!

Quique Sanchez Flores has perhaps not quite seen the 'bounce' in results he would have hoped for since his re-appointment as Watford boss in September.

While Javi Gracia was sacked after three defeats in four games at the start of the season, the Hornets have picked up four points in their first seven under Sanchez Flores.

On the task of turning things around, he said: “I was thinking it would be difficult. I came here to change the dynamic. A good result over the first two matches would have changed everything but we know the programme was difficult. I came positive and I don't feel deflated.

"I have no regrets, I will not surrender and I'm not going to give up until the last day I train.”

Todd Cantwell hasn't played in the last couple of games for Norwich and he is going to be a real star in the English game.

He is back on the bench tonight and they have missed him but they need more than just him and Teemu Pukki.

  6. Perfect time for a first winpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2019

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

This is the third time already this season Watford have started the day bottom and faced the team in 19th.

They drew 1-1 with Newcastle in August and then lost 2-0 against Wolves in September.

Already six points adrift of safety, improving that particular record with a first win of the season tonight looks rather vital.

Afraid to say that no matter what, neither of these teams is going to stay up this season. A big shame for Norwich, but not sure Watford's mercenaries will be missed too much.

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

The top two are taking each other on later this weekend - but first the bottom two are doing the same.

Watford are still waiting for their first win but they have picked up more points in recent weeks than Norwich, who have lost five of their past six league games, and drawn the other.

They are both desperate for a victory for obvious reasons, but I have a sneaky feeling neither of them will get one.

    Lawro's prediction: 1-1

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

While Watford are enduring a club record of 15 top-flight games without a win, Norwich's seven points from their opening 11 games is the their joint-worst start to a top-flight season.

Tonight, they could lose nine of their opening 12 league matches of a season for just the third time, and for the first time since the 1947-48 season.

  10. Can Hornets halt winless start?published at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2019

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

Watford could become the first side since Queens Park Rangers in 2012-13 to fail to win any of their opening 12 games of a Premier League season.

QPR won none of their first 16 during that campaign, going on to finish bottom - 14 points short of safety.

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Worryingly for Norwich they started the season well. These two clubs have managed four goals in the last 18 hours of football and that's not good enough.

The good news for Watford is Troy Deeney is back. Everybody quite likes Norwich, they play good football but nobody seems able to score goals. Whoever loses this one could end up massively adrift and it will be a long way back.

  13. 'They are no world beaters'published at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2019

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

    Charlie Adam
Reading midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Troy Deeney is the old fashioned English centre-forward. You need that.

This is a must not lose for both but you just hope it can be a good game. Norwich are where they are because that's what they are. They are no world beaters.

Norwich are where they are because they have not invested at the level that, say, Aston Villa have.

As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts and feelings on the game this evening.

  15. 'A season-defining match'published at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2019

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

    Mark Tompkins
    MOTD Commentator

Both sides need to dig deep and find some kind of form before they get separated from the rest of the division.

By only spending 22% of matches in the attacking third of the pitch, Norwich's supply line to Teemu Pukki, who made such an impressive start to the season, has been limited as teams get wise to The Canaries' intentions. Find the Finn and hopefully the goals will come.

But then they'll still have to beat Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster, who was superb against Chelsea last week and nearly scored a late equaliser.

This could be a season-defining match for one of these teams under the Carrow Road lights.

People are already asking: 'How do you beat this Liverpool team?' But I am sure Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will believe he has the answer on Sunday.

The biggest problems Jürgen Klopp's side have had have come against teams using a 3-5-2 formation, with Sheffield United, Manchester United and even Genk on Tuesday in the Champions League being recent examples.

I am sure Guardiola has spotted it too.

Here's more from Stephen Warnock on where Liverpool v Man City could be won and lost on Sunday.

The weekend's standout Premier League fixture, of course, takes place at Anfield on Sunday.

Leaders Liverpool will look to open a nine-point gap on chasing champions Manchester City in the day's later kick-off, after Manchester United host Brighton and Wolves face Aston Villa.

Saturday's Premier League action begins with the lunchtime kick-off at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea host Crystal Palace four days after their impressive Champions League comeback against Ajax.

Tottenham will look to move up the table as they host Sheffield United, while bang in-form Leicester City have the chance to further cement their top-four position against Arsenal in the evening.

  20. 'There's more pressure on Watford'published at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2019

    Norwich v Watford (20:00 GMT)

    Daniel FarkeImage source, Getty Images

Norwich City boss Daniel Farke, on the other hand, not so much...

On facing Watford, the German said: "The results are not nice. Right now is a tough place to be in with moods and confidence of players, but we're looking much better.

"There probably is more pressure on Watford than us, they are in a worse position than us and it's not easy, they are meant to be an experienced Premier League team.

"Even tomorrow we are probably seen at having less than a 50% chance of winning the game - but we need to keep fighting and get as many wins as we can against the bigger clubs to survive in the Premier League."
