Lys Mousset tries to get the better of the former Ajax man again but the defender holds his ground on this occasion, outmuscling the Blades striker and clearing the danger.

Unbelievable chance! Mousset did everything right.

He can’t understand how he missed the goal, he has turned Davinson Sanchez inside out and his shot went just millimetres wide from the back post.

If Sheffield United were 2-0 up you would have no complaints whatsoever.

Spurs have a chance to counter but Giovani Lo Celso is brought down by John Fleck.

The hosts work the ball well, though, and Son Heung-min eventually tests Dean Henderson with a low drive that the Blades goalkeeper does well to palm to safety.

That was Spurs' first shot on target.

The Harry Winks substitution could be a blessing in disguise: he’ll sit in front of the defence more than Tanguy Ndombele who came off injured.

Nbombele pushed forward a lot in the first half and did not give Alli and Lo Celso any room to move into.

David McGoldrick releases Lys Mousset, who holds the ball up, turns Davinson Sanchez and unleashes a fierce shot towards the far post which flies agonisingly wide.

Spurs lose possession again but eventually win the ball back after Lys Mousset is dispossessed on the edge of the area.

At the other end, Son Heung-min's curling effort flies well wide of the far post. You could see what he was trying to do, but it was never going in.

The visitors have picked up where they left off at the end of the first half.

Lys Mousset cuts inside on to his right foot but his shot is blocked by Davinson Sanchez.

David McGoldrick is then called back for offside.

Tanguy Ndombele, who suffered a groin injury in the first half, makes way for Harry Winks.

I am wondering if Sheffield United can continue with the same intensity. And if Spurs can improve we are in for a really entertaining second half.

Sheffield United really worked hard from the first whistle, they put pressure on Spurs and forced errors.

Spurs have not been comfortable with the type of pressure they have been put under in the first half.

Spurs have been very average and a lot of it is down to Sheffield United being so good. The only negative for Chris Wilder at half-time is that they are not ahead.

The only problem for Sheffield United is: will Tottenham play like this in the second half?

Sheffield United have gone closest to breaking the deadlock. Plenty of work to do for Spurs, who haven't really got going at all.

The full-back eventually gets in a good crossing position but his delivery is deflected into the arms of Dean Henderson.

Excellent defending from Enda Stevens, who intercepts Son Heung-min's through-ball before winning a goal-kick off Serge Aurier.
