    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

John Lundstram was at Everton when he was younger but he got let go because they weren't quite sure whether he had enough quality. He's really kicked on. He looks like a top player, he's reliable and he's scoring goals.

Sheffield United have gone to Spurs, they've not sat back and defended. They're having a right good go today.

  3. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Big chance for Spurs.

Son Heung-min picks out an unmarked Giovani Lo Celso on the edge of the area, but the 23-year-old drags his shot wide of the target.

Tottenham need to be quicker in transition, they need to move the ball faster and get those Sheffield United players out of positions and find the gaps.

    Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Sheffield United

Now the hosts win a free-kick wide on the right-hand side, but Giovani Lo Celso's delivery is headed clear by Chris Basham.

Spurs' best spell of the game so far? I'd say so.

Spurs win a corner of their own. The visitors half-clear the danger before Serge Aurier's low shot flies just past the post.

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sheffield United would be happy with Spurs getting frustrated and trying to shoot from distance.

There are very little areas for Alli and Kane to run into it and all of sudden Spurs are just playing in and out causing no threat. So it has been pretty comfortable for the visitors.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 30 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

So close from John Lundstram! The midfielder is picked out on the edge of the area by Jack O'Connell and rattles Paulo Gazzaniga's right-hand post with a curling drive.

The Blades really should be ahead.

  10. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

John Lundstram scored twice against Burnley last time out and maybe should have put the Blades ahead here.

A cross from the left evades the Spurs defence and finds Lundstram, who scuffs his effort wide of the far post.

That was a golden opportunity for Chris Wilder's side.

John Lundstram tries to find Lys Mousset at the far post but gets too much power on his cross, which rolls out for a goal-kick.

Son Heung-min lashes over the crossbar from the corner of the penalty area.

Cheers from the visiting fans, more groans among the home contingent.

    Perhaps not.

Blades captain Oliver Norwood trips Dele Alli and becomes the first Sheffield United player to have his name taken by referee Graham Scott.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

    Better from Spurs.

Dele Alli plays in Serge Aurier, who attempts to find Harry Kane with a low, outswinging cross.

The England striker gets on the end of it but fails to make proper contact and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick.

Full marks to Dean Henderson and John Egan for closing down the 26-year-old.

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

Harry Kane picks up the ball on the edge of the Sheffield United box but runs into traffic.

The visitors surge forward once again and Eric Dier commits a foul on Lys Mousset. He's already been booked, but referee Graham Scott keeps his cards in his pocket on this occasion.

    Free-kick Sheffield United.

  18. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

This doesn't look good for Tanguy Ndombele.

The midfielder has gone down with what appears to be a groin injury. He has a pained expression on his face and is glancing towards the home dugout.

He may well have to come off...

  19. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Sheffield United

Eric Dier prevents a corner but the Blades have a throw-in in a good position. The ball eventually lands at the feet of John Fleck, whose low rasping drive is well held by Paulo Gazzaniga.

It wouldn't have counted anyway - David McGoldrick is adjudged to have fouled his marker in the build-up.
