  1. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Arsenal have looked so much better since they switched to a conventional back four.

Makes you wonder why they even bothered deploying three central defenders to start with.

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 56 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Nicolas Pepe has his hands in his head. The Arsenal winger can't believe he hasn't scored.

Brilliant work from Kieran Tierney down the left, who picks out Pepe at the back stick. The Ivory Coast man looks odds on to score but blasts his volley into the ground and sees it bounce on to the Southampton crossbar.

  3. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Now here come Southampton again, who cut through Arsenal's midfield like it isn't there.

Nathan Redmond goes for glory from 20 yards but Bernd Leno deals with that one, tipping it over the bar.

Always tough to score from there.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 51 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Big chance and a brilliant save from Southampton keeper Alex McCarthy.

Alexandre Lacazette's rampaging run ends with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in possession six yards out.

The Arsenal forward picks his spot but McCarthy's left boot diverts the ball to safety.

  5. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Southampton almost back in front. Lucas Torreira's attempt to tidy up in defence sees him prod the ball back towards his own goal.

Bernd Leno did well to stop that.

  6. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Nicolas Pepe's introduction almost reaps immediate dividends for Arsenal.

The Ivory Coast winger's charge down the right is the prelude to Kieran Tierney letting fly with a zinger. But that cannons to safety after going into a crowd of Southampton defenders.

  7. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Looks like a tactical switch for Arsenal at the break.

Nicolas Pepe is on for Calum Chambers, the three-man defence has been dispensed with as we get going again.

I know what Piers Morgan means but Unai Emery looked like he was suffering in the first half.

  9. Dominant Saintspublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Not only did Southampton out-work Arsenal by covering more ground and producing more sprints in that half...the visitors have also had 10 shots on goal to Arsenal's three.

Still the worry must be, that they haven't been able to convert that into further goals.

  10. Postpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Arsenal had not won in their last four Premier League games prior to today and arrived at this fixture with seven points fewer than at this stage last term.

And on this evidence I can see why.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

The home supporters aren't happy at the Emirates. A chorus of boos greets the Arsenal players as they trudge off at the interval.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45 mins

That's a forward's challenge on Stuart Armstrong from Alexandre Lacazette.

Third Arsenal player in the book.

  14. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Good chance for Southampton to break again after smothering another Arsenal attack but James Ward-Prowse doesn't quite read the memo.

The Saints midfielder has three men in advance of him but elects to have a pop from the halfway line. A decision he immediately regrets.

David Beckham he is not and his effort skews away from goal and off to the right.

  15. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Arsenal 1- Southampton

Danny Ings has scored seven goals against 'big six' clubs in the Premier League since the start of last season.

And he goes for number eight with a dig from the edge of the Arsenal box.

That's wide of Bernd Leno's goal though, Saints still looking dangerous though.

  16. Lacazette's home comfortspublished at 33 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Alexandre Lacazette likes a home goal doesn't he?

His equaliser earlier was the 23rd of his 30 Premier League goals to have been scored at the Emirates.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 31 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

Matteo Guendouzi is down for Arsenal. Danny Ings is looking sheepish but that'll be a booking for the Saints forward.

  18. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

The high-energy, pressing style that Ralph Hasenhuttl is known for is paying dividends for his team at the moment, against very jittery opponents.

Not for the first time today the Gunners struggle to play out from the back and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg drives a 20-yard effort just wide for the visitors.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 28 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

There are a few unhappy Southampton players chatting to referee Stuart Attwell at present.

They seem to be saying that Sokratis has caught Danny Ings with a flayling arm. I couldn't really see what happened but after a long delay the Gunners defender goes into the book.

  20. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

The Arsenal fans are just about starting to find their voices now.

There has been a weird eerie sort of atmosphere at the Emirates in the opening stages.
