Arnaut Danjuma has space down the right and he cuts inside and manages to get a shot away. Virgil van Dijk is with him all the way though, and gets the block in.

The defender then turns to his midfield and tells them off!

Jefferson Lerma slips it into Arnaut Danjuma on the left but he's way offside. The flag goes straight up and the whistle goes just before a small section of Bournemouth fans let out a cheer when it's poked into the net.

Eddie Howe's threadbare resources are such that there is no recognised striker on the bench to replace Callum Wilson - with central midfielder Dan Gosling sent on. Ex-Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke, still awaiting his first Bournemouth goal, is now the lone man up front.

Dominic Solanke loses out to Joe Gomez but the Bournemouth striker wins it straight back and earns his side a throw-in.

It's all too easy for Liverpool, whose boss Jurgen Klopp may already be thinking ahead to Tuesday's early kick-off (17:55 GMT) in the Champions League against RB Salzburg.

Nathan Ake, not unsurprisingly, has a concerned look on his face as he takes a seat on the back row of the Bournemouth dugout, sitting immediately behind physio Steve Hard - who is one of Bournemouth's busier staff members at the moment as Ake joins the lengthening injury list.

Bournemouth look to get Callum Wilson in early but the striker can't pull away from Jordan Henderson and James Milner, who sprinted back to chomp at his heels.

James Milner drills a dangerous low ball across the six-yard box but none of his team-mates had made the run.

Milner asks them why not and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gives him a thumbs up and apologises!
