This game is crying out for either Michail Antonio or Robert Snodgrass who will get on the ball.The ball is being popped around like a hot potato by West Ham's players. The players would rather make a simple pass.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson on VAR: "It's small margins but those are the rules that they're using. It's the procedure that they go on so it's either it is or it isn't so there isn't much you can say.

"I'm a little bit disappointed by the decision on Max Meyer in the second half, I thought it was a penalty so we were unlucky it went against us. We just have to accept sometimes it will go for us and against us, and you just have to big enough to accept it when it goes against us.

"I was never one to be banging the drum for VAR, but if the mass media want it, and the public want it once again you have to be mature enough to accept it. I'm one of the ones sensible enough, or logical enough to accept that we wanted it, we've got it, it's there for us so we get on with it."

Max Aarons slips it into the path of Marco Stiepermann, who beats Toby Alderweireld before winning a corner.

Spurs look soooo shaky at the back.

Marco Stiepermann manages to poke it through to Onel Hernandez on the left. He's in space and cuts inside onto his right foot before curling it towards the far corner.

He skews it in the end and it spins well wide. Decent chance though.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to Match of the Day: "I thought we did extremely well to get ourselves into the lead, especially after suffering the VAR disappointment.

"When the goal came, I thought we were starting to show control. But their equaliser was a technical mistake, it happens in football and it gave them a new lease of life.

"They brought on some fresh legs and quick players too and against a team that had given their all for 75 minutes, I thought we did well to survive that period.

"I'm disappointed with the result but I'm once again very proud of the boys. We have to keep asking them to go out and do it again, after the quick turnaround, we've got players with strains that would probably have appreciated a rest. We've got three of four days now to recover before another game."

Spurs try to get the ball rolling using the width of Serge Aurier out on the right. He swings one, then two crosses into the box but Norwich deal with both.

Christian Eriksen tries to get on the end of a clearance but Jamal Lewis mops it up.

The early zip has rather gone from Leicester's play, it's all a bit pededstrian out there at the moment. No real surprise, given the sides put out there.

Crystal Palace defender James Tomkins talking to Match of the Day: "First half we were pretty strong, second half we were under pressure quite a bit so a draw was probably the right result.

"I didn't feel under pressure prior to the equaliser. They had a few chances as you'd expect Southampton to at St Mary's, but we felt comfortable, not under intense pressure. In the end we'll take a point."

On Martin Kelly's mistake for the equaliser: "He's an experienced lad, he would have had heavy legs with this quick turnaround. You were really starting to feel fatigued in the last 20 minutes. He doesn't need picking up, he's experienced."

On his goal: "It was nice to score but something we couldn't hold onto. Luka deceived me with the cross, I wasn't expecting it. He's got a great right foot so he can whip them in from anywhere."

On the goal disallowed by VAR in the first half: "I haven't seen it myself but some of the lads say it's very tight. It's so unlucky. What can you do if it's just an arm or hand, it can just go against you and for you. We've had our fair share go for us so far this season. It's just hard to celebrate any goal at the moment when it can be turned around. It can change so quickly."

It's not clicking for Spurs. Christian Eriksen tries to nod it down for Tanguy Ndombele and it goes straight out for a throw-in.

They just stand there looking at each other.

West Ham do now come forwards and Arthur Masuaku lets fly from 20-odd yards - it's a decent save from kasper Schmeichel.

Jake: Waiting for the tweet saying that var has ruled it out because his shoelace was offside.

Not this time Jake. His shoelace was well and truly ON.

West Ham haven't shown too much conviction going forward. Their decision making in the final third has not been good enough. They need more edge to their play.

Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce: "It is always frustrating when you think you don't deserve to get beaten. After getting back into the game we had a really good 20-25 minutes but then were caught by a suckerpunch. The effort and endeavour meant they didn't deserve to lose.

"We always said if Andy Carroll stays fit he is going to be a big asset for us. The big question is that one (fitness).

"We got our backsides kicked at Manchester United. Today we were punished for the referee's mistake. The players didn't deserve it but you have to accept it. Everton have transformed over the last few weeks.

"We are halfway there. We have done OK and given ourselves a nice platform for the second half of the season. We hope we can do better on the injury front. We hope that clears up.

"We have another home game next. The crowd were fantastic today. They responded and saw the team's resilience."

Toby Alderweireld plays a long ball forward and finds his target - Harry Kane. The striker's first touch is decent but Tim Krul is alert and comes charging off his line to close him down.

He saves with his left arm and Grant Hanley is there to prevent a corner. Moments later, Giovani Lo Celso and Christian Eriksen have shots blocked.

Kelechi Ihenacho was pretty much flattened at the time, to be fair.
