Manchester United are dominating possession but you sense Burnley will open up soon, having done a solid job of quelling the attacking threat of the visitors in the first half of the first half.

Manchester United have a poor record away from Old Trafford this season, collecting nine points from their nine games.

They have been beaten at West Ham, Newcastle, Bournemouth and, most recently, Watford.

Apart from August, they have lost one away game every month.

Marcus Rashford spots a clever run by Andreas Pereira but the Manchester United man is forced wide.

Then, another free kick is given to the visitors following a high boot on Harry Maguire just inside the Burnley half.

Out comes Mike Dean's first yellow card of the game as Phil Bardsley is punished for wiping out Brandon Williams.

It's another free kick for Manchester United, 25 yards from goal on the left side of the box. Andreas Pereira whips the ball in but Burnley head away.

You can see why Burnley are so keen to do these little niggling fouls.

United have four or five different players who can go through the gears up the pitch. Burnley just don’t have those players to make the difference.

Fred is forced into giving away a corner and the midfielder is fuming with that decision. He, rightly, feels he touched the ball against Dwight McNeil.

No changing the decision and the corner is sent in deep to James Tarkowski but he heads high and wide.

As a Burnley player, where do you want to see that free-kick end up? Over the bar and into the stands.

It was a dreadful free-kick.

Now Burnley have a free kick midway inside the Manchester United half. It is sent into the box and headed towards goal by James Tarkowski but not enough power to trouble David de Gea.

Manchester United then break quickly as Marcus Rashford forces a low save out of Nick Pope at his near post.

Hints that the game is starting to open up a bit.

Chris Wood catches the back of Brandon Williams' boot, pulling it off and sending tumbling off the pitch. Another free kick. Scrappy first quarter of this game.

... Fred has a pop this time, fizzing the ball at goal but over the bar.

Daniel James is given the chance to cause a bit of bother with his pace for the first time and he draws a foul out of Charlie Taylor on the right side of the box. Manchester United have another free kick...

... the free kick is well struck by Marcus Rashford, with power and a bit of a dip but the distance always gives Nick Pope the advantage and he makes the save.

Marcus Rashford turns and runs towards the Burnley goal. He looks to brush his way past Phil Bardsley but the defender manages to get enough of a touch on the ball to disrupt Rashford's run.

The Manchester United forward does manage to keep and shield the ball before he is fouled to give the visitors a free kick.

Rashford, 30 yards out, fancies this...

It is five games and over 10 years since Burnley last scored against Manchester United here.

It was a memorable effort though, a matchwinner from Robbie Blake.

Remarkably it is the only time Burnley have scored against United at Turf Moor since 1969.

Marcus Rashford is down now after he is clipped by Ashley Westwood. Sean Dyche chuckles sarcastically, thinking Rashford went down a bit too easily, but there was enough contact for him to lose his footing there for me.

First real attack of the game as Charlie Taylor gets into a pocket of space on the left. He gets into the box and clips the ball across for Jeff Hendrick but Brandon Williams is there to deal with the danger.
