More misery for the Edinburgh clubs...

Hearts barely had a sniff of goal in their defeat at McDiarmid Park.

Hibs needed an injury time goal to salvage a point at home to Livingston and a fifth league draw in a row leaves them without a win since the opening day of the season.

Paul Heckingbottom and Craig Levein are managers under extreme pressure. Can they survive these tortuous runs?

  2. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 1-0 Heartspublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

St Johnstone leap up eighth with back-to-back wins as Hearts fall level on points with bottom club St Mirren.

An own goal from skipper Christophe Berra rather sums up a dreadful match.

  3. FULL-TIME Motherwell 2-1 Kilmarnockpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

The Steelmen reclaim third place in the Scottish Premiership from 10-man Kilmarnock.

Alex Bruce was shown red for slicing down Chris Long and Liam Donnelly scored from the resulting free-kick. Dom Thomas equalised for the depleted visitors but Stephen Robinson's side turned the screw in the second-half.

Devante Cole's winner in the 54th minute cemented Kilmarnock's fate and the visitors drop to fifth, behind Aberdeen.

  4. FULL-TIME Celtic 2-0 St Mirrenpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

Quickfire goals at the start of the second half from Mohamed Elyounoussi and James Forrrest keep Celtic top on goal difference.

St Mirren offered stubborn resistance in the first half but the champions were able to cruise to victory in the end.

  5. FULL-TIME Hibernian 2-2 Livingstonpublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

Hibs come back from the dead to salvage a draw at home to Livingston which may just keep Paul Heckingbottom in a job.

Goals from Steven Lawless and Craig Sibbald put Livi 2-0 up at half time, but a Scott Allan penalty and an injury time equaliser from super-sub Martin Boyle ensure Hibs take at least a point from the game.

Whether it's enough to keep Heckingbottom in a job remains to be seen, with Hibs still without a league win since the opening day of the season and just a point off the foot of the table.

  6. FULL-TIME Ross County 0-4 Rangerspublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Routine for Rangers in Dingwall.

Alfredo Morelos with two goals and Ryan Jack with two goals as Steven Gerrard's side remain neck and neck with leaders Celtic.

GOAL Hibernian 2-2 Livingstonpublished at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Martin Boyle

A huge goal for Hibs and Heckingbottom. Super-sub Martin Boyle slots home after a hopeful ball over the top reaches him on the 18 yard line, and the Australian international carries the ball into the box and coolly finishes beyond Matija Sarkic.

  8. FULL-TIME Hamilton 0-1 Aberdeenpublished at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

It's a much-needed win for Aberdeen and Derek McInnes after their disappointing showing at Celtic, but the margin of victory really should have been greater.

Despite a few brilliant saves by Joe Lewis in the Dons' goal, Aberdeen could have won this game by three or four. Sam Cosgrove could have had a hat-trick, Niall McGinn deserved a goal and nearly got one when he hit the bar, and Lewis Ferguson nearly grabbed a stunning second goal.

But in the end, it's three points for Aberdeen thanks to Ferguson's blistering first-half strike.

Aberdeen are up to fourth in the table, while Accies drop down to tenth.

  9. CLOSE!published at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Motherwell 2-1 Kilmarnock

Allan Campbell really should have put this game beyond Kilmarnock in the dying moments - the ball is squared by Chris Long on a plate for Campbell, but Connor Johnson pulls off a miraculous block on the line to turn the ball over for a corner.

  10. Got to do better...published at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Hibs 1-2 Livingston

Another huge chance for Hibs. Paul Hanlon puts a low ball across the box and Daryl Horgan has the whole goal to aim at but the Irishman puts the ball straight down the throat of the goalkeeper.

It's not been vintage Celtic tonight. It's been nowhere near their standard of recent performances but they've got the job done against a well-drilled St Mirren.

  12. Tick tock... time running out for Hibspublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Hibs 1-2 Livingston

Hibs are really going for it here and it is leaving them exposed at the back. The visitors are getting openings on the counter attack but are being pretty wasteful with them.

  13. 'Levein struggling for answers'published at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    St Johnstone 1-0 Hearts

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

A deserved lead for the home side, Hearts have had one solitary chance but have been very quiet since. Hearts keep using Uche Ikpeazu up front as some sort of battering ram. It's not football as we know it and I think Craig Levein is struggling to come up with answers to his problems. St Johnston are managing the game and looking good for the win.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Hamilton 0-1 Aberdeen

Again...how is this game still in the balance?!

Sam Cosgrove could have had a hat-trick. He's just hit the post with a header. Derek McInnes will be furious if Accies grab a goal in the last ten minutes.

  15. Can Boyle save Hibs?published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Hibs 1-2 Livingston

Martin Boyle is on for his first league appearance of the season, the winger coming on for defensive midfielder Melker Hallberg.

Can he save the day for Hibs and Paul Heckingbottom?

    St Johnstone 1-0 Hearts

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

You can see the confidence the goal has given St Johnstone, who are very much in command just now.

Hearts look a deflated bunch, the away fans are certainly making their displeasure known to manager Craig Levein.

  17. What a miss!published at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Hibs 1-2 Livingston

It's now the visitors turn to miss a glorious chance! Stevie Mallan's pass back to Chris Maxwell is intercepted by Scott Tiffoney, he rounds the goalkeeper but puts it wide with an open goal to aim at.

Shocking finishing... A huge let-off for the hosts.

    Quote Message

The scorelines we've seen Celtic and Rangers this season - the fact that Alfredo Morelos has just scored a double and they've brought on Jermaine Defoe, and Scott Brown has gone down and Celtic have brought on Olivier Ntcham. It just shows you why they're racking up these scorelines and why this gulf between the rest is so huge

  20. CLOSE!published at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2019

    Hibs 1-2 Livingston

A glorious chance for Hibs as a corner comes in and captain Paul Hanlon comes flying in but heads over from five yards out. The home side are turning the screw, but they won't get many better chances than that.
