    West Ham 3-0 Bournemouth

As I was just about to tell you Bournemouth are playing better, West Ham have a chance to make it 4-0 but Lewis Cook just stops Pablo Fornals from a shooting chance.

  2. goal

GOAL - Man City 1-0 Evertonpublished at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Gabriel Jesus (51 mins)

    As I said...

New Years resolution is to stop making predictions.

Gabriel Jesus latches on to an Ilkay Gundogan pass, cuts inside and curls a delightful finish into the top corner.

Jordan Pickford got a hand to it, should he have kept it out? I think so yes, was not strong enough.

VAR checks if Jesus is offside or not, he is adjudged to be on, and the goal stands.

But no-one celebrated until the referee blew the whistle to give the goal - the emotion has been drained out of the game.

  3. Postpublished at 18:38 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace

A Palace attack fizzles out. They've only had one shot on target. Although uncharacteristically they have had 56.3% of the ball.

  4. Postpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Man City 0-0 Everton

The longer this goes on, the more it will suit Everton.

They'll nick one on the break, IMO.

  5. Postpublished at 18:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Bournemouth

More of the same as Lewis Cook concedes a corner after good play by Felipe Anderson and Aaron Cresswell.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace

Palace also made a switch at half-time, as Cheikhou Kouyate replaced Mamadou Sakho.

  7. CLOSE!published at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Man City 0-0 Everton

Gabriel Jesus in immediately after the restart but his header is grabbed by Jordan Pickford.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Bournemouth

    The second half kicks off.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Bournemouth

Eddie Howe makes two changes at half-time.

Ryan Fraser and Junior Stanislas come on for Harry Wilson and Diego Rico. Bournemouth go to three at the back.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Man City 0-0 Everton

Raphael Blancpain: Feels like more goals than we’ve scored in the entire season so far. Everyone living up to their full potential. Honestly not sure whether to laugh because were amazing or cry because we didn’t have this before.

Andrew Walker: West Ham are organized and motivated. A Moyes masterclass.

Alex Lancaster: Eddie Howe will always be the greatest manager in AFC Bournemouth’s history, but it’s abundantly clear he’s taken them as far as he can. Perhaps both he and Bournemouth need a breath of fresh air.

    Man City 0-0 Everton

You may or may not be wondering about the confusion at the Etihad with Riyad Mahrez ruled offside, then VAR checking for a penalty and why the play was started again from the off-side position.

Just had a quick chat with the Premier League about guidance on the Mahrez offside/ penalty decision. I will bullet point it the best I can:

    1) On field decision was offside.

    2) Because there was a possible penalty VAR had to check this.

    3) VAR then checked offside and deemed Riyad Mahrez onside.

    4) It then checked the penalty, and deemed Riyad Mahrez had handballed it.

    5) As VAR can’t check every offside decision (only does so for penalty and goals) play resumes from the original on-field decision.

    West Ham 3-0 Bournemouth

The last time West Ham scored three Premier League goals in the opening 36 minutes of a game was in May 2007 against Bolton. Mark Noble also scored their third that day.

  16. 'Moyes will get Hammers working'published at 18:28 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Bournemouth

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Final Score

David Moyes knows how to win games for West Ham. I am sure his win ratio is pretty good. He is tactically sound and know show to get players to step it up. West Ham will hope he has the same kind of impact as Nigel Pearson at Watford. It's a similar thing - to ensure there are no passengers in that team. They will be solid and well organised. Having spoke to him I know he was been itching to get back.

    Newcastle 0-3 Leicester

    Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce: "I was concerned about the number of games but we could have lost five players today. Three of them are hamstrings and one (Jetro Willems) is a groin, while DeAndre Yedlin has broken his hand we think.

"We've had a bad week but we have to try and put it right.

"I said a month ago that asking players to play four games in 10 days is ludicrous and today is the consequence of that. I didn't have the bodies to make changes as we had four or five out anyway."

  18. 'Foxes can get a result anywhere'published at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Newcastle 0-3 Leicester

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Final Score

You now expect Leicester go anywhere and get a result. There were questions whether they were a one-man team and without Jamie Vardy would struggle. But now that is two wins from two without him so they are answering those questions. All the players they have signed are gems, as well. They have gone some good business.

  19. 'The players care about the club'published at 18:25 Greenwich Mean Time 1 January 2020

    Watford 2-1 Wolves

    Watford

Watford boss Nigel Pearson speaking to BT Sport: "The result is the most important thing. I thought we showed an incredible commitment to try and win the game. They had situations towards the end but we were prepared to put our bodies on the line and our situation dictates that is exactly what is needed. It is another three points in the right direction, we’ve got the FA Cup now to look forward to now then we can prepare for another big game at Bournemouth."

On possible transfers this month: "My view on adding to the squad is we might do it, but only if we can considerably improve what we have got. I don’t believe in collecting players for the sake of it.

"Hopefully we will have some of our long-term injuries coming back. It is always going to be about whether you can get the quality to help the players you have already got. The players we have got are a fabulous group of people. They have proved over the last few weeks that there is a desire and the players care about the club"

What's happened to the swashbuckling Everton side of the last few games? Granted, they're away to Man City - but Sigurdsson, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin have been all but invisible so far.
