    Man Utd 3-0 Norwich

Nice little combo between Emiliano Buendia and Todd Cantwell but the former is just eased off the ball as Manchester United get bodies back to deal with the threat.

Norwich still trying to play, to their credit.

Just under half an hour to go then.

Could feel like much longer than that for Norwich...

Rashford is being brought off for rest more than anything else. The game is won, it's a long season, they've played a lot of games, including cup game Manchester United. Give him as much rest as possible.

He's not going to get his hat-trick but he might well get man of the match.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 59 mins

    Man Utd 3-0 Norwich

There'll be no hat-trick for Marcus Rashford this afternoon.

He heads off to be replaced by Daniel James.

    What a miss!

Brandon Williams... on a plate for the teenager.

It was wonderful play from Manchester United as Anthony Martial fed Andreas Pereira and the midfielder slid a perfect ball across the area.

All Williams had to do was tap it in from about a yard, but he blazes over.

  7. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 3-0 Norwichpublished at 54 mins

    Anthony Martial (54 mins)

    Game, set and match.

Manchester United take a quick, short corner and Juan Mata, who created the first, has time to look up and pick out his man in the middle.

It's a delightful, curling delivery from the diminutive Spaniard and Anthony Martial meets it with a firm header to put the game beyond Norwich.

It feels like a case of how many now...

  8. 'Rashford's confidence is off the scale'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Man Utd 2-0 Norwich

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Rashford has been fantastic in this game. We know all about his pace but the utter confidence of the young man now - it is off the scale at the moment.

It's great to see and England may well be needing him.

  9. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 2-0 Norwichpublished at 51 mins

    Marcus Rashford (51 mins)

Marcus Rashford takes a stuttering run up and fizzes the ball beyond Tim Krul.

The Norwich goalkeeper went the right way, but couldn't get enough on Rashford's strike to keep it out.

That's the United forward's second goal of the afternoon.

Hat-trick incoming on his 200th appearance for the club?

  11. PENALTY - Man Utdpublished at 50 mins

Brandon Williams beats Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul to the ball in the box and is taken down.

    Penalty United!

David de Gea looks like he's working on a new barnet. He's a month or so away from perfecting the 'Grealish', I'd say... in my, errm, professional hairdressing opinion.

Right then, what can Norwich do at Old Trafford to turn this around? Or will it be another Manchester United bombardment?

Comfortable for 42 and a half minutes there and then two little lapses in concentration from Manchester United and they could have been going in here 1-1.

Conceding a goal would have shocked this stadium and it would have been desperately unfair as well, but that's the way football is.

I think that is possibly the best thing that could have happened to United because they will realise they will need another.

Not a bad way to celebrate his 200th appearance for Manchester United for Marcus Rashford.

His 13th Premier League goal of the season.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will be happy with his side's first-half performance, but he'd be sitting a little more comfortably if they'd turned that dominance into a few more goals...

A stunning save from David de Gea.

Todd Cantwell's low curler was destined for the far corner but was denied by the Spaniard springing low to his left.

Cantwell cannot believe it hasn't gone in.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    And that's the break.

Manchester United in control, but not out of reach.

  20. CLOSE!published at 44 mins

    Man Utd 1-0 Norwich

Norwich's first effort on goal, and it needed a clever save from David de Gea to keep it out!

Emiliano Buendia went driving towards the Manchester United box and found Todd Cantwell in acres of space on the left.

The midfielder opens up his body and curls a low right-footed effort towards the far corner, but De Gea's gets a finger tip to it at full stretch the keep it out.

    That's better from the visitors.
