    Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

Brighton go close. Neal Maupay's low cross to the near post is poked just wide by Aaron Connolly. Six games, 30 minutes gone in each, just one goal. Disappointing.

  2. Postpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheff Utd

Lucas Torreira is caught dawdling on the ball but luckily he has David Luiz behind him to sweep up before Oliver Norwood launches a shot out of the ground.

  3. 'Both teams are having a go'published at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a little bit more stretched. Both teams are having a go - not necessarily successfully. I think it is because of the poor quality from the start of the game.

  4. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Bournemouth

It's a cagey old affair at Carrow Road. Two sides lacking in confidence, well aware of the magnitude of the game, tentatively looking to make something happen.

Alex Tettey has a pop from range but his effort goes wide. This after Teemu Pukki had been unable to get a proper touch on a Max Aarons pull-back from the right.

  5. Postpublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Excellent save by Jordan Pickford as he denies Sebastien Haller with his legs at the near post. The home side are just starting to tighten their grip on this game.

A tale of two heatmaps. The Crystal Palace box is at the top of the graphic on the left while the Manchester City box is top of the one on the right. All Manchester City.

  7. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Southampton 1-0 Wolves

First signs of a response from Wolves to falling behind. Neto's cross has Alex McCarthy juggling and then dropping the ball, allowing Raul Jimenez to try (and fail) to steer the ball back towards the goal. Saints rally and clear. It remains 1-0.

  8. Postpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

Half-chance for Brighton. Bernardo's cross finds Aaron Mooy at the back post. He is able to bring the ball down and play it back into the mixer but not close enough to a team-mate, giving Villa the opportunity they need to clear.

  9. 'Hammers fans' protest calm and well-behaved'published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Eilidh Barbour
    Commentator on Final Score

The West Ham fans' protest was all very calm and well-behaved. The message was to get behind the players but make their views against the board very clear. You could feel the anger the fans have towards the board but it was calm. They called it a static protest.

  10. Attack versus defencepublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

It's pretty much been attack versus defence here so far, with Palace doing almost all of the defending.

But that Wilf Zaha penalty shout was a reminder of the Eagles' threat on the break, and the reaction in the stands here while the decision was checked at Stockley Park was a reminder of what both sets of fans think of VAR.

  11. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheff Utd

Arsenal are struggling to break down a typically well-organised Sheffield United. The hosts' best chance so far has come when they have managed to counter their opponents. So far so good for the away side.

  12. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Norwich 0-0 Bournemouth

For a second, it looks like Harry Wilson is in, but before he can chip an effort over Krul (which didn't find the goal regardless), the flag is up for offside.

    Norwich living dangerously.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Oof. Sebastien Haller is not far off as he nods a header from Mark Noble's cross just wide of the far post.

Joshua Edwards: Is the BBC experiencing staffing cuts? How is Phil Dawkes supposed to do the live text on 6 games by himself?

What can I say Joshua? I don't get paid enough!

In fact, I'm sharing duties with m'colleague Gary Rose, who is hopefully now getting his due at the top of the page.

    Martin Keown

It was the sort of thing you would expect to see from Ings. It's a quality finish.

  16. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

Not a shot on target to speak of yet at the Amex. Brighton have had the majority of possession - as is their style under Graham Potter - but Villa are currently managing them pretty well.

  17. 'We have not had entertainment'published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I don't think the managers and supporters will be satisfied. Once the game starts it's over to the players to provide the entertainment. So far we have not had any.

  18. Postpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

Absolutely nothing to say about this game so far. A tame Robert Snodgrass shot aside there's been very little noteworthy action.

  19. Postpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Sheff Utd

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Football Focus

Mike Dean is the first referee to officiate 500 league games. He's booked Norwood within a couple of minutes today but it was the right decision. You don't get to 500 games without having to make some big decision and he was right on the money there.

  20. Postpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2020

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

Kevin de Bruyne rattles the woodwork with an effort from distance as Manchester City continue to trouble the Crystal Palace defence. It feels like a goal is coming for the home side.
