    Luton 0-0 Swansea

Luton could put a good pit of distance between themselves and the bottom three with victory today.

It's been an even first 40 minutes or so at Kenilworth Road, with Andrew Shinnie driving an effort wide from 20 yards for the hosts.

Southend United don't really do clean sheets and they've not been able to do one today either. Bolton Wanderers have equalised through Joseph Dodoo against their fellow strugglers.

Oh, and guess what? Eoin Doyle has scored again. Swindon are 2-0 up. That's his second of the game and 21st of the season.

  3. goal

GOAL: Millwall 0-1 Barnsleypublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2019

    Conor Chaplin (39 mins)

This could be a big goal in Barnsley's fight to pull away from the bottom of the Championship table.

Conor Chaplin gives the Tykes the lead against Millwall in some style, with a terrific finish from in the box.

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

As it stands, West Brom have the chance to pull four points away from second-placed Leeds at the Championship summit.

Their best chance of taking the lead against Brentford came when Semi Ajayi sent Matt Phillips' corner off target before Jake Livermore fired over the bar.

  5. League Two latestpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2019

There's been a few goals to tell you about in League Two, with struggling Leyton Orient 2-0 up at Cambridge, Colchester leading Carlisle and Newport in front at Morecambe.

Exeter, meanwhile, are now 3-1 down at home to Walsall.

  6. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 1-0 Nott'm Forestpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2019

    Christopher Schindler (32 mins)

There hadn't been much of much in the game at the John Smith's Stadium but the hosts have broken the deadlock.

Anyone ever seen this come up on the trusty vidiprinter before?!

Wycombe Wanderers forward Adebayo Akinfenwa has just been sent off for "argument", apparently, with his side already 1-0 behind at Oxford United.

That's his first red card since 2016.

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

    Slaven BilicImage source, Rex Features

It's an entertaining affair at the Hawthorns, lack of goals aside.

Brentford are in a decent bit of form in the Championship of late and look unfazed against the league leaders.

They have the chance to take the lead in some style when Christian Norgaard unleashes a curling shot from outside the box that travels just wide.

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic will want more from his side as we approach the break.

    QPR 1-0 Charlton

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer makes a change to his side as they look to shore up the defence against QPR.

Jason Pearce replaces Ben Purrington to make his 100th appearance for the Addicks.

Can they force a leveller before half-time and cancel out Geoff Cameron's opener for the R's?

Wycombe Wanderers and Ipswich Town both face tricky away trips at the top of League One today, to Oxford United and Portsmouth respectively.

The Tractor Boys are still level, but leaders Wycombe have just gone behind to James Henry's goal at Kassam Stadium.

Burton Albion have also turned things around against Rochdale to lead 2-1. They only need two more goals to double their entire season's tally at home.

    Fulham 1-0 Leeds

Leeds have not had much in this at all but they come close to a leveller as Stuart Dallas first forces a low save from Marek Rodak and then Mateusz Klich hits the post moments later.

    Reading 1-0 Derby

Derby have their work cut out if they are to get something out of this game against Reading but the Rams are valiantly trying to force an equaliser.

The 10-man visitors put a ball into the box from a long throw-in and Jason Knight strikes goalbound but his effort sails over the bar.

    Millwall 0-0 Barnsley

Barnsley could do with a win today as they take on mid-table Millwall and thus far, it's all going the Lions' way.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson sends a ball into the Barnsley box towards Tom Bradshaw who heads narrowly wide of the mark.

Walsall have started like an absolute train at Exeter City, which few would've predicted given the Grecians are second and the Saddlers are closer to the bottom than the top.

They've had nearly 70% of the ball, all the shots, all the corners and now they're 2-0 up.

In much more predictable news, Eoin Doyle has scored for leaders Swindon Town to put them in front against Forest Green.

That's his 20th of the season. Before Christmas. Daft.

The hosts have enjoyed a perfect start in this one.

Aleksandar Mitrovic gave them the lead with a seventh-minute penalty, for his 17th league goal of the season.

Second-placed Leeds, who have lost Pablo Hernandez to injury, are having to weather a storm at the moment as midfielder Mateusz Klich picks up a booking for a poor challenge.

It's the battle of the bottom two in League One, with Bolton Wanderers hosting Southend United.

The visitors have conceded a whopping 59 goals in in 21 games already this season, but it's Sol Campbell's side who've gone ahead through Harry Lennon.

Meanwhile, are we in for an unlikely goalfest at the Pirelli Stadium? Burton Albion have just levelled thanks to Ryan Edwards.

With second-placed Leeds currently 1-0 down against Fulham thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic's seventh-minute penalty, how are Championship leaders West Brom doing against Brentford?

Well the Baggies are biding their time. Their first foray into the Brentford box sees defender Ethan Pinnock clear the ball away from David Raya's goal.

Earlier on, the Bees tested the hosts from Bryan Mbeumo and Said Benrahma but keeper Sam Johnstone was wise to both efforts.

    Hull City 0-0 Birmingham

No goals at Hull but the hosts are well on top in the opening stages.

These pair sit in 14th and 15th in the table respectively but a win for either today could kickstart their season.

    Aleksandar Mitrovic (7 mins)

Second-placed Leeds have lost influential midfielder Pablo Hernandez to injury and they now trail at Fulham.

Aleksandar Mitrovic's penalty goes in off the post to give the hosts the perfect start.

They came into this game off the back of three successive defeats.

Burton Albion have conceded fewer goals at home* than any other team in League One this season - but they're already behind against Rochdale this afternoon, with Callum Camps giving the visitors an early lead.

*It's worth saying that Burton have also scored fewer goals at home than any other team in League One this season. They've mustered just four in eight games.
