The medical team are still on the field. Bradley Dack has gone down on the touchline right underneath the television cameras.

In the meantime, he's replaced by Lewis Holtby.

Oh dear, this doesn't look good.

Bradley Dack goes down clutching his right knee and he looks like he's in absolute agony. Hopefully it's not serious, but he's screaming in pain.

The medical team rush to his aid.

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

    Oh hello.

Jamal Lowe tries to seize the initiative for Wigan as he fires a powerful shot from just outside the Blackburn box which sails narrowly wide.

That would have been quite something had it gone in.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 62 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

Wigan make a change of their own as Joe Williams comes on for Gavin Massey.

Just under half an hour remains and it's as even as you can get, as it stands.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

Blackburn are forced into a change and it's Corry Evans who comes off for Bradley Johnson.

Not sure what he'd picked up but he didn't look comfortable in the moments following that challenge with Michael Jacobs.

In the meantime, Wigan scramble to clear their lines from the Blackburn corner that follows.

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

Nathan Byrne does fantastically well to race down the right wing and put a dangerous ball into the Blackburn box which they clear.

On the counter, Rovers race up field and Adam Armstrong wins a corner for the hosts.

    Cracking stuff. I remain entertained.

Tony Mowbray, meanwhile, will be pleased by his side's response in this second half after their lacklustre first-half showing.

  7. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

Corry Evans is down clutching his left leg in a stretch on the ground to beat Wigan midfielder Michael Jacobs to the ball.

The Blackburn physio comes on to administer some treatment and there's another break in play as he limps to the touchline.

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

At the other end, Wigan come so close to upsetting the odds to take the lead.

Gavin Massey turns and finds space and tees up Josh Windass, who skies his chance over the bar despite having plenty of time to shoot.

The referee, it appears, had already blown for a foul by Massey, though, sparing Windass' blushes somewhat.

    An entertaining second half, this.

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

So, a lively start to the second half, but what about the action away from the Sam Morsy-Lewis Travis drama?

Bradley Dack does well to beat his marker and find Danny Graham who heads towards the Wigan goal at the back post but his effort is dealt with by the visitors.

This is better from Blackburn, now!

  10. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

There's a lot of discussion going on even in the minutes after that Sam Morsy and Lewis Travis incident.

Boos are ringing round as well, but in the end, play restarts.

  11. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

There's a break in play as Blackburn's Lewis Travis goes down clutching his left ankle following an off-the-ball incident with Sam Morsy.

Not sure how much contact there is from Morsy but Travis is back up and about now. Morsy, for what it's worth, is on a yellow card.

    HT: Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

Here's how it looked in the first half. Somehow Blackburn finished the half with more of the ball.

However, Wigan have peppered the hosts' goal with plenty of shots and will be disappointed not to have anything to show for it.

    A huge 45 minutes awaits.

Wigan haven't quite turned the formbook on its head in that first half - but they were the better side against Tony Mowbray's in-form Blackburn.

They look better than a team that's bottom of the table, don't they?

  15. Hernandez out for a monthpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2019

    Championship news

It's been a rough few days for Leeds United with Marcelo Bielsa's side suffering a couple of bodyblows in their quest for automatic promotion.

Defeat to rivals Fulham was bad enough but they also lost playmaker Pablo Hernandez to injury at Craven Cottage.

Leeds today revealed the Spaniard will be out for around a month.

That's got to be one of the finest Wigan performances of the season and even still, they are yet to find a goal for their trouble.

Blackburn have been woeful and there's much for Tony Mowbray to think about at the break.

  18. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

One additional minute. No meaningful stoppages in this first half so that's a surprise.

"Have you been entertained by this first half, Jay?"

    The answer is yes.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

There's a rare lull in this game as the clock ticks down to half-time.

Both sides happy to see this one out until the break.

  20. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wigan

From the free-kick that follows that Sam Morsy booking, Blackburn are flagged offside as soon as the ball travels into the box.

With the half winding down, Wigan will be the happier of the two sides thus far.
