What a night of Premiership action. Celtic leave it late before snatching a dramatic injury-time winner against Hamilton Accies, courtesy of skipper Scott Brown.

The 2-1 win moves Celtic two points clear of title rivals Rangers, who cough up a two-goal lead in a pulsating draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Hearts draw with Livingston, while Kilmarnock and St Johnstone ends goalless at Rugby Park. Motherwell prove too strong for St Mirren in Paisley, and Ross County come from behind to beat Jack Ross's Hibernian in Dingwall.

Speaking post-match, Hamilton manager Brian Rice told BBC Sportsound: "I think there are maybe two free kicks in the lead up to winning goal. We needed a wee rub of the green, and we didn’t get it tonight, but I’m so proud of what the lads put in. Celtic are champions for a reason and that's why.

"We always felt we could get half a chance. We got that and we took it. There's lots of positives but there's lots of disappointment. We’ll get in tomorrow morning and prepare properly. Every game is a big game in this league, so it's about time we started picking up some points."

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Scotland's Sportsound: "It's the psychology of football. A lot of talk and a lot of build-up has been about Sunday [League Cup final v Rangers] and, subconsciously, I think we were a little bit flat.

"I understand that, it's a great three points and I thought we deserved the game.

"It was fraught at times because mentally, we switched off towards the end and allowed Hamilton to get an equaliser, which I wasn't happy about.

"We missed some good chances to go 2 or 3-0 up. At 1-0, the game is always on a knife-edge. We made a few changes tonight and lacked that little bit of 'oomph' at times.

"Overall, we deserved to win the game. It'll be a different animal come Sunday."

As Hearts pursue former Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel, interim manager Austin MacPhee still expects to be in charge of the team for Saturday's trip to Motherwell.

"I think that that is the situation," he told BBC Scotland. "I’m led to believe that things will be concluded later on in the weekend or even at the start of next week with whoever [owner] Ann Budge has said she is speaking to.

"I think what will happen at the weekend, as long as the players give their all, we can go and put in a positive performance at Motherwell."

After a wee bounce of three wins, Hibs are going back to the kind of form that plagued former boss Paul Heckingbottom, throwing away leads against Kilmarnock and now Ross County.

It's a first defeat for manager Jack Ross, who tells BBC Sportsound: "I thought we deserved to lead. We had control of the game and created good opportunities. Putting ourselves in a winning position was pleasing and thereafter I don't think we came under undue pressure.

"But Ross County stuck at it and when you only have a goal lead you run the risk if you don't keep a clean sheet.

"It's hugely frustrating. We've been in a winning position twice in the past four days, so there are fine margins at the moment that we need to improve upon.

"We need to be more resilient from that position."

The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has not missed his players after seeing them let a two-goal lead slip.

"For 40 minutes the game was so one-sided, we were cruising," he told Sky Sports. "They scored at an important time, before half-time, and it seemed to flip the whole momentum of the game. Then it seemed like we couldn't handle the pressure second half, lacked a bit of experience.

"When you go 2-0 up you expect your leaders on the pitch to manage the game better, first and foremost get to half-time 2-0 up."

Asked if his side should have had a penalty when Alfredo Morelos was tripped,Gerrard replied: "Yes. It's annoying but I'm not going to get anything from being annoyed from it. It's a penalty, it's on the line the referee's close enough. I'm not sure if I'll get an explanation for it, but John Beaton's missed one there."

Gary Holt's Livingston have not won since early October and lost an 88th-minute equaliser tonight, but the manager is still pleased with his side's efforts.

"A draw was probably a fair result," he tells BBC Radio Scotland. "Yes, disappointed we conceded late on. But when the ball gets lumped into our box as often as it did second-half, sometimes it falls the wrong side for you and that happened from the corner.

"It happens. It’s disappointing, but we stood up to the test. I asked them to be men, go toe-to-toe and I thought we defended the long ball really well today. All in all, it’s a good point."

Ross County co-manager Steven Ferguson is thrilled by his side's second comeback against Hibs this season.

The Highlanders came from 2-0 down to grab a draw at Easter Road and tonight they turned in an improved second-half display to earn all three points.

"The players started believing again that they can play at this level, with the second half performance especially, I thought we were excellent," says Ferguson.

"We got people around the ball and we were making contact, which is a thing we hadn't been doing. We feel we got back to our roots, so to speak.

"It's a big three points for us."

Asked about Rangers' penalty appeal when Alfredo Morelos was fouled by Lewis Ferguson, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "No comment. But listen: I think Rangers got the benefit of a lot of decisions today.

"I think I've been a guilty party sometimes with my team this year when we've had penalties we should've had but didn't get.

"A draw was maybe a fair result on the balance of play. But we should still go on and win the game with Sam [Cosgrove's] chance.

"It was the best chance of the second half - there were a lot of things out there that I wasn't too happy about, either."

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "I needed to see that [tonight's comeback] from my team. But it also shuts a few people up who questioned that.

"The reference point for our season so far has been the two Old Firm games; we go into tonight's game four points better off than we were in the league last year.

"But nobody wants to talk about that - the players are doing fine.

"What I needed to see and what the supporters needed to see, was that type of performance in the second half.

"It's a very important point for us - it keeps our unbeaten run going. December is such an important month and a draw against this Rangers team, at home, is a very important one."

Steven Maclean's 88th-minute leveller rescues Hearts. They were a couple of minutes away from a fourth defeat in five top-flight matches and 11th place in the league, but Maclean's late intervention earns them a valuable point.

Marvin Bartley, the former Hibs hero, scored for the first time in five years to put Livingston ahead. The visitors played some cracking stuff and kept Hearts at bay for much of the second half.

But up stepped Maclean in the dying minutes to at least salvage his troubled and manager-less side a draw.
