    Aberdeen v Rangers (19:45)

    Neil McCann
Former Hearts & Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Rangers have got a groove and a real rhythm about their game. Having watched them in Europe, and domestically, they've got a way of playing that doesn't change. That familiarity, in terms of their set-up, has really bedded in now.

  2. MacPhee rings the changes as Holt switches twopublished at 19:13

    Hearts v Livingston (19:45)

Interim boss Austin MacPhee makes five changes for tonight's visit of Livingston as the Jambos look to pull away from the foot of the table.

After a less-than-impressive showing at Ibrox, goalkeeper Joel Pereira is dropped for Zdenek Zlamal, who makes his first outing since August. Fit-again Michael Smith returns at right-back, with Loic Damour, Sean Clare and Jake Mulraney all restored to the starting XI.

Out go Jamie Brandon, Aidy White, Oliver Bozanic and Uche Ikpeazu.

Gary Holt makes three changes as his Livingston side aim to win for the first time since early October.

Robbie Crawford misses out with an injury, so Craig Sibbald takes his place. Former Hearts man Scott Robinson also comes into the team for Steve Lawson.

  3. Dons must be 'competitive'published at 19:12

    Aberdeen v Rangers (19:45)

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

You're looking for Aberdeen to be competitive and I think they will be. They've been passive in a couple of games and they've been ordinary in a number of others. And they've also been very good in certain games.

  4. One change for St Mirren; Hartley out for Motherwellpublished at 19:10

    St Mirren v Motherwell (19:45)

St Mirren were perhaps unfortunate not to pick up a point at Pittodrie at the weekend and as such Jim Goodwin has made just one change from the side that lost 2-1 to Aberdeen. In comes Danny Mullen up front for Sam Foley.

Motherwell, who won handsomely when they welcomes St Johnstone to Fir Park on Saturday, have opted for two changes for tonight's match. In defence, Bevis Mugabi comes in for the injured Peter Hartley. Up front James Scott steps in for Chris Long, who starts on the bench.

  5. Wilson starts for Dons, Jack returns for Rangerspublished at 19:07

    Aberdeen v Rangers (19:45)

Derek McInnes makes three changes to the side that beat St Mirren on Saturday. Niall McGinn misses out through injury, while Ryan Hedges and Dean Campbell drop to the bench. In their places come Shay Logan, Ash Taylor and James Wilson as McInnes looks to be going for a 5-3-2 formation.

As for Rangers, Steven Gerrard selects former Aberdeen captain Ryan Jack in midfield instead of Glen Kamara, who's on the bench, and Borna Barisic is rested, with Jon Flanagan starting at left-back.

  6. Boyle back in the Hibs starting XIpublished at 19:05

    Ross County v Hibernian (19:45)

Hibs winger Martin Boyle makes his first start since July as he makes his way back from a second bad knee injury inside 12 months.

He's been a second-half substitute in the past six matches and tonight he takes the place of Joe Newell, who drops out entirely, with some kind of knock presumably.

The home side bring back experienced duo Michael Gardyne and Brian Graham as Keith Watson and Lee Erwin drop to the bench after Sunday's 4-1 loss to Celtic.

  7. Three changes each for Celtic & Acciespublished at 19:04

    Celtic v Hamilton Accies (19:45)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has made three changes to the side that beat Ross County 4-1 in Dingwall on Sunday. Mortiz Bauer and Nir Bitton come into defence for Jeremie Frimpong and Christopher Jullien, as Olivier Ntcham comes into the midfield to replace Tom Rogic.

There is still no Odsonne Edouard in the squad ahead of Sunday's League Cup Final, but with the Frenchman returning to first team training this week Celtic fans will be hoping he is ready to go for then.

As for Hamilton, Brian Rice also makes three changes his side. Will Collar, Scott Martin and David Moyo come into the side with Johnny Hunt, George Oakley and Marios Ogkmpoe dropping out following Saturday's 0-0 draw away to Livingston.

The last time Aberdeen claimed a league victory against Rangers at Pittodrie? You have to go back to September 2016, when a certain James Maddison - now strutting his stuff in England's Premier League with Leicester City - scored a last-minute free-kick in a 2-1 win.

    Hearts v Livingston (19:45)

Will tonight be Austin MacPhee's last game in temporary charge at Hearts? MacPhee has been steering the Jambos' ship since Craig Levein's sacking at the end of October.

Hearts have made former Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel an offer to become their manager but MacPhee remains in the dugout for Livingston's visit.

MacPhee, who has overseen one win and three defeats, admits he is in the dark regarding his future at the club.

"Obviously there are talks going on with other people and I will speak to [Hearts owner Ann Budge] again at some point. If there is anything to be communicated I will always do that with the players. She has very good lines of communication with the senior players as well."

Celtic are aiming to make it 11 wins in a row tonight to make sure they keep the foot to the floor in terms of the Premiership title race.

But the League Cup Final this weekend very much part of the narrative. How will tonight impact on that huge game against Rangers? Just how fit are the likes of Hayes, Bolingoli, Elyonoussi and - most importantly - Odsonne Edouard?

  14. Pittodrie poised for blockbusterpublished at 18:42

    Aberdeen v Rangers (19.45)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Previous Aberdeen v Rangers encounters have been deserving of their Scottish football blockbuster billing, and tonight’s Pittodrie showdown is no different. There is plenty at stake for the two rivals.

For the hosts, an expectant home crowd will be demanding the Dons atone for their 5-0 thrashing to Rangers at Ibrox at the end of September.

Third-place Aberdeen’s form has certainly picked up, they’ve lost just one of the eight league games they have played since that humbling experience in Govan.

As for Rangers, they are hoping to successfully overcome another hurdle as they continue to challenge on all fronts at home and abroad.

While the visitors could perhaps be forgiven for having one eye on Sunday’s League Cup final date with Celtic, boss Steven Gerrard knows he can’t allow that to happen.

Separated by just one goal from leaders Celtic at the Premiership summit, Rangers are determined to keep up the pressure on their Old Firm rivals, and that means taking care of business in the Granite City tonight.
