This was going down as the dullest half of Premiership football I have seen this season until a rare flash of quality lit Fir Park up as the home side hit the front.

Great skill from Jermaine Hylton on the left wing created the opportunity before cutting back for Christopher Long who produced a magnificent finish to fire high into the net at the near post.

It was a thing of beauty amidst a half that has been otherwise dreary in the extreme.

  3. HALF-TIME Hamilton 0-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:47

Not the greatest conditions at the Fountain of Youth Stadium, but this game is desperately lacking in quality.

St Mirren have probably had the better of the shooting opportunities, with Ilkay Durmus’ effort tipped onto the post by Luke Southwood the closest either side has come to scoring.

Hamilton believe they could and should have had a penalty, however, as Marios Ogkmpoe looked to have been brought down by Calum Waters in front of goal.

Hopefully there’s a bit more creativity in the second half.

  4. HALF-TIME Livingston 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:47

No goals at the Tony Macaroni Arena just yet but the home fans should be happy with what they've seen so far. Kilmarnock have looked uncharacteristically sloppy in midfield and at the back, allowing Livingston to intercept and counter on a regular basis.

The home side should perhaps be ahead had Aymen Souda or Scott Pittman taken their chances on target properly.

  6. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Livingston 0-0 Kilmarnock

Lyndon Dykes flicks the ball on to Stevie Lawless, who then plays the ball in to the path of the on-running Scott Pittman with a back heel and with just the goalkeeper to beat he fires the ball directly in to the hands of Laurentiu Branescu, who does enough to parry it wide. Huge chance missed from the home side.

  7. HALF-TIME Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeenpublished at 15:46

Still goalless at Easter Road.Stevie Mallan had Hibs' best chance when Joe Lewis got down low to tip away his effort. Apart from that, though they have had plenty of set-piece opportunities, they haven't tested the Dons goalkeeper.

At the other end Sam Cosgrove is having a poor game for Aberdeen, but he did have the visitors' best chance when James Wilson's shot was saved and rebounded into his past, but he fired his effort straight at Ofir Marciano.

  8. HALF-TIME Motherwell 1-0 Heartspublished at 15:46

Motherwell lead with the one moment of quality in a poor first half, Chris Long lashing into the top corner five minutes before the break.

Can Hearts - who have now gone five-and-a-half away matches without scoring - haul themselves back into it?

    Chris Long

We have a goal in the Premiership!

The first shot on target brings the first goal and it's well worth the wait. Jermaine Hylton jinks down the left, nutmegs Craig Halkett and cuts the ball back for Chris Long to smash a stunning finish into the top corner.

  11. CLOSE!published at 39 mins

    Livingston 0-0 Kilmarnock

There's an almighty stramash in the box after Livingston swing in a corner. Three or four players vie for possession after a header from Ricki Lamie.

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair takes a swing at it but the Kilmarnock goalkeeper blocks it from point-blank range.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen

Two great chances for Aberdeen, two great saves from Ofir Marciano.

Hibs have a free-kick through Stevie Mallan. Ash Taylor launches it long, with James Wilson racing clear down the right, driving into the box and cracking a shot at Marciano which is parried into the path of Sam Cosgrove.

The Englishman tries to side-foot the rebound past Marciano, who manages to get up and block. Superb from the keeper!

Eerie moment here as Darren Lyon is knocked unconscious after taking the ball flush in the face during a defensive clearance. Play has been stopped for five minutes with Lyon looking like he is now conscious but everyone is taking every precaution. The stretcher is on but the silence is never nice.

  16. Motherwell 0-0 Heartspublished at 31 mins

Motherwell's Luke Donnelly tries his luck from 20 yards out and drags his shot so wide it's nearer the corner flag than the goals.

Ryo Meshino is similarly wild at the other end, blazing over the bar from the edge of the box.

We're still waiting for an effort on target...

  18. War of attrition at Easter Roadpublished at 28 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen

It's a fairly even game at Easter Road. Aberdeen have probably played the slicker football, with just the final ball letting them down when they've had the Hibs defence stretched.

But Hibs are getting plenty of opportunities themselves, and Martin Boyle and Stevie Mallan are both winning a number of corner kicks for the hosts.

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 26 mins

    Hamilton 0-0 St Mirren

St Mirren may have got away with one...

An inviting ball comes in from the left, and Marios Ogkmpoe gets in front of Calum Waters. Just as he's about to pull the trigger, Ogkmpoe goes down under his challenge. Referee Don Robertson waves play on.
