David de Gea had no chance.

Marcus Rashford is able to run at pretty much full pelt but on a few occasions now he's held the base of his back in pain. One to watch.

Rashford is not moving quite right - that would be a huge blow.

For all the pre-match chat of empty seats it looks pretty full out there to me, and a very decent Old Trafford atmosphere too. City seeing plenty of the ball in their own half at the moment.

Their prime? Would all probably do a job at the moment.

United now go direct - Fred hits the big ball over the top, Mason Greenwodd wins it in the air to flick it on and Marcus Rashford is almost on to it and in on goal.

United centre-backs Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones will be thinking they've got no-one to mark.

At the other end, that was shocking defending from Nicolas Otamendi. It was great play from Marcus Rashford - the City defender couldn't live with him. It was great defending from Fernandinho in the end.

A decent watch so far - City now break, Riyad Mahrez is the centre-forward on this occasion and finds Raheem Sterling on the left of the area, he cuts inside and runs into four or five red shirts and the chance is gone...

Raheem Sterling just yelled a few words of advice at Benjamin Mendy after the City left-back played his team into trouble with a ball back into his own box - and gestured for him to clear his lines next time.

Daniel James v Mendy is going to be an interesting battle down that flank tonight... as will Sterling versus Aaron Wan-Bissaka of course.

Mason Greenwood finds Marcus Rashford, whose touch on the run is electric, he flies past Nicolas Otamendi and puts it across goal. Fernandinho does brilliantly to get in the middle and flick it clear.

The strikerless sensations win a corner, Mike Dean tucks his shirt in. Well cleared by Brandon Williams.

United find Daniel James on the right, his early cross is hard and low but Nicolas Otamendi is able to hack it clear at the second attempt. Marcus Rashford is limping a bit now.

Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva as sort of a front two, it's befuddling our pundits if not the Manchester United defence in these early stages. The two of them are pressing from the word go, right in David de Gea's face.
