    West Ham will hope this game goes better than the last time they travelled to a League One side.

    The Hammers were thrashed 4-0 at Oxford in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

    Speaking of Oxford, Shandon Baptiste scored a great goal against the Hammers - and he netted an even better one against Hartlepool yesterday.

    If West Ham do lose today, this will be the third year in a row they've been knocked out by a League One side. In 2017-18 it was Wigan, and then it was AFC Wimbledon last year.

    Wow, and absolutely magnificent performance from Liverpool.

    The reason why Everton were hopeless second half was because Liverpool did not allow them to play.

    They were better in possession, they were better out of possession, they looked more comfortable on the ball, they created more chances.

    The youngsters looked as if they were the experienced professionals and been around for years when it should have been the other way around.

    If you don't take your chances against Liverpool, you will pay. Liverpool got the job done. Everton were not ruthless enough in the first half. Jurgen Klopp is very much the new Sir Alex Ferguson - he is running this club from top to bottom. So when youngsters come in they know the job they should do. There's no flash Harrys. The club looks unstoppable.

    Liverpool remain unbeaten in their last 23 home games against Everton in all competitions (W13 D10).

    They have beaten the Toffees twice at Anfield in the same season for the first time since the 1986-87 campaign.

    Aged 18 years and 340 days, Curtis Jones became Liverpool's youngest goalscorer in a Merseyside derby since Robbie Fowler (18y 338d) in the Premier League in March 1994.

    Everton have been eliminated from the FA Cup third round in four of the last six campaigns, as many as their previous 20 seasons beforehand.

    Who said you can't win anything with kids! Liverpool were great today but Everton will be disappointed. They had their chances in the first half but simply didn't take them.

    Everton haven't really responded to the goal which will disappoint Carlo Ancelotti and the fans. We saw Duncan Ferguson get angry when he was temporarily in charge and he'll probably feel the same way now. For Everton, there were just too many missed chances in the first half.
