  6. Goodwin urges Saints to believepublished at 14:56

    St Mirren v Celtic (15:00)

St Mirren haven't beaten Celtic since January 2013, and their wait for a league victory over the Hoops stretches back to 2010.

But manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Sportsound:"There are occasions when teams beat the Old Firm and we have to believe we can do it today.

    Image caption,

St Mirren are three games unbeaten under Jim Goodwin

"In October, Livingston beat Celtic at their place and we have to take inspiration from that. We need every one of our players to play above what they're capable of and Celtic to have an off day.

"We're on mini run of unbeaten games and have been playing relatively well for a number of weeks now. I don't think Celtic have been playing brilliantly in the last few games, but champions find a way to win."

  7. 'Any team would miss Cosgrove's goals' - McInnespublished at 14:51

    Aberdeen v Livingston (15:00)

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is delighted that he'll at least have a fully fit Niall McGinn in today's starting XI, after losing Sam Cosgrove through suspension.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, McInnes said: "Niall McGinn passed a fitness test this morning. He was suffering a wee bit from a calf issue but thankfully he passed. Niall is normally behind most of our assists or a high percentage of them. And Sam [Cosgrove] has been our top goalscorer.

"So without both it would have been an uphill task today. Thankfully Niall is on the pitch but when you look at those attacking players we feel as though the threat is there. There's no doubt that Sam has proved to become a real talisman for us. I think any team would miss anyone who is in such goal-scoring form."

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice says he looks on today's matchup against St Johnstone as a "cup final" as two of the bottom three sides take each other on.

He told BBC Scotland: "Saturday was huge (the 2-1 win over Hearts) but by Saturday night it was done and dusted for me - my full focus was on today. I don't look too far ahead - today is our cup final.

"Young Jamie Hamilton has been magnificent for me but I feel we need some more experience against St Johnstone. Brian Easton comes in - he's been magic for me. He's desperate to play.

"And I've gave David Moyo his second start - he started at Celtic Park and was magnificent, so I'm expecting him to do well."

  12. 'Cormack's comments disgraceful' - Lennonpublished at 14:40

    St Mirren v Celtic (15:00)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon isn't holding back in his condemnation of Dave Cormack over the Aberdeen chairman's criticism of Kristoffer Ajer.

Cormack had accused Celtic centre-back Ajer of "feigning injury" to get Dons striker Sam Cosgrove sent off at Celtic Park last Saturday.

Speaking before his side's game at St Mirren, Lennon tells BBC Scotland: "It's absolutely embarrassing, I'm not having that at all. Kris is a victim in this and was on the end of a very heavy challenge.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has hit back at Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack

"There was no feigning injury, no play-acting. Kris is a model professional and I'm not having the Aberdeen chairman talking about my players like that. First of all, it's not true, it's a lie. Secondly, these things should be kept in-house.

"It's very naive from Mr Cormack. The comments are absolutely disgraceful."

  13. Millar looked sharp - Dyerpublished at 14:36

    Rangers v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Caretaker boss Alex Dyer has seen some positive signs from Saturday's defeat by Motherwell as he looks to end Kilmarnock's run of four games without a goal as he starts Liam Millar up front.

"We played with one up front and I put Liam on up front second half and he played well, he looked sharp," he tells Kilmarnock TV.

"It's maybe something we will look at in the future, but the one up front, the 4-3-3, suits us well, suits the players we have got and we can score goals in that system.

Alex Dyer says "it's a matter of time" before Kilmarnock score more goals

"We are not firing just now, but it's not a major concern because I think we will create and score goals in the end. It's just a matter of time."

Dyer was assistant as Kilmarnock built up a strong record against Rangers at Ibrox and added: "We usually go there and work hard and set our stall out well. We are going to try to do the same again."

  14. 'I'm delighted Cosgrove isn't playing' - Holtpublished at 14:32

    Aberdeen v Livingston (15:00)

Livingston manager Gary Holt is confident that his side can match any team in the Scottish Premiership but is more than happy to see Sam Cosgrove - and his 11 league goals - miss out on today's clash through suspension.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, he says: "I'm not going to stand here and lie that I'm not delighted. I'm not one of those people. But I am disappointed to an extent because it's a challenge that could go either way and you want to play against the best players in the league. If you can get a result and you know you were up against the best. And Sam [Cosgrove] certainly is one of them this season. It is a boost for us, but Curtis Main is no slouch."

Livingston boss Gary Holt knows Aberdeen will still be dangerous without strike Sam Cosgrove

"We have confidence in every game. It's something that we're trying to get in to the boys. We don't get caught up in how many games we're unbeaten or how many we've gone without a win. We try to take every game on its merits and that will be the same today."

    Rangers v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Jordan Jones has only made 10 Rangers appearances since his summer switch from Kilmarnock.

And, as so often happens, the winger's return to the match-day squad for the first time since injuring himself while being sent against Celtic on 1 September comes against his former team-mates.
