Celtic are ahead and it's a calamity in defence for St Mirren. Odsonne Edouard's run into the box looked to have ended with a heavy touch, but Paul McGinn and goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky leave the ball to each other, Callum McGregor nips in and hits the post from close range before popping in the rebound.

It's all far too easy for Ross County who score from their first real shot on target. Sean Kelly's floated cross from the left arrives unchallenged in the box. With not a Motherwell player within five yards, Blair Spittal has the time and space to guide his header across goal. Keeper Mark Gillespie will be frustrated as his clawing hand can only push it into the net.
Celtic and their towering centre-backs are a constant menace from corners. A Ryan Christie delivery finds Kris Ajer unmarked but the Norwegian screws his effort horribly off target.
The visitors keep up the pressure and moments later Ajer is picked out again from another Christie dead ball and this time his header flies a yard wide.
Odsonne Edouard then goes on the gallop and sends a looping shot just over the bar. The champions are cranking through the gears in search of an opener.

So far, Aberdeen are answering the question of how they would cope without Sam Cosgrove - Ryan Hedges, Niall McGinn, Lewis Ferguson and Connor McLennan are all providing plenty of attacking threat.
Job Obika does well down St Mirren's right flank, sending over a cross that Ilkay Durmus meets with a 10-yard shot saved by Fraser Forster.
Celtic respond immediately as Olivier Ntcham tries to curl one into the top corner but Vaclav Hladky comfortably gathers.

Half chance for County. It's Ross Stewart on the left latching on to a high punt from the back. He cuts in on his right but Declan Gallagher does just about enough to put him off. First proper glimpse from the home side.
Kilmarnock go close with their first venture into Rangers' half of the park as Niko Hamalainen finds space and lets fly, but the Finland full-back's drive deflects off James Tavernier and wide of the far post.

Kyle Magennis almost breaks clean through on Celtic's goal, but the whistle had already gone for a foul on Scott Brown by Cammy MacPherson. Solid start from the hosts, containing the visitors well and looking nippy on the counter.

We have our first goal in the 3pm kick-offs! A wonderful through ball from Niall McGinn finds Lewis Ferguson charging down the middle of the pitch in to acres of space. The midfielder takes a moment to compose himself, laying the ball off to Connor McLennan who taps home.

St Johnstone strikers Stevie May and Chris Kane link up well, but the former's cross is just too high for Kane to do anything but head it over.
May has been active on the left wing in the opening 10 minutes. At the other side Mickel Miller drags a shot from outside the box just wide of the post.
Rangers have established early command of possession against Kilmarnock and a Jermain Defoe shot is deflected wide, while Nikola Katic fires past the post as Steven Gerrard's side win two early corners.

What a chance for James Scott. Ross County are robbed of possession on the halfway line, triggering a pacy counter led by Liam Polworth. The Invernesian rolls the ball to Scott on his left with a clear sight of goal, only for Nathan Baxter to get down low to block. The youngster should have done better, but a smart save nonetheless.
