  1. 'I am really happy to help the team today'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Leicester 2-2 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero: "I am really happy to help the team to play today. I made a few saves but more important is the spirit of the team, we rescued one point here which is so difficult.

"It is hard as a goalkeeper when we don’t have the oppportunity to play, we have to keep the faith, keep training well and when the opportunity arrives you have to be ready for it. This is a lesson for every goalkeeper in the world, we must be ready at any time."

  2. 'We had VAR, so it's not my business!'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Leicester 2-2 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea defender Anthony Rudiger: "At the end of the day it’s good to take a point away from here because they were pushing and after the 1-0 we were a bit sloppy.

"I’m happy for the team but most important is the spirit we showed after the 2-1 and we came back.

"We only have to look game by game. The upcoming month of February will be very tough. But we will be up for the fight, that’s for sure."

On the handball claim at the end of the game: "I was going naturally on that side, and yeah the ball touched but it was not my intention to touch it. At the end of the day we had VAR, so it's not my business!"

Kev McVeigh: Totally unrepresentative result. 2-2? How was it not 5-5 at least?

Courtland Adams: This one feels like a loss, ridiculous as that may sound. So many wasted chances in the first half and that error from Caballero was stupid. Could have had a couple more easily.

Paul Christie: Lampard gets away with it because he's a fans' favourite and has friends in the media, but that Chelsea team under him is poor. They have lots of decent young players but I don't see any of them majorly improving under Lampard.

  12. 'Chelsea will be happier'published at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    FT: Leicester 2-2 Chelsea

    Matt Jarvis
Former Wolves & Norwich winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Chelsea will be happier. The first half they played really well, the way they passed through the lines and switched the play, and Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James put some really good balls in, but in the second half it didn't really work out. It seems as if the Leicester fans are more disappointed than the Chelsea fans, for sure!

    FT: Leicester 2-2 Chelsea

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Both teams will be disappointed that they didn't take their chances on the day. Tammy Abraham had a couple of gilt-edged chances to put the game away, and Harvey Barnes made a couple of bad decisions one-on-one.

A spirited performance by Leicester after missing out on a place in the Carabao Cup final in midweek. They go into the inaugural winter break two points behind second-placed Manchester City.

It's one win in five league games for Chelsea who stay fourth - seven points ahead of Manchester United who play later.

Rudiger has got his arms down beside him but it's definitely touched his trailing arm. That was the opportunity for Leicester. The game stopped, there were quite a few injuries which stopped the flow.

    Brilliant by Harvey Barnes!

He steals possession inside his own half and then goes on a superb run before attempting a cross which brushes the back of Antonio Rudiger's hand.

Leicester want a penalty. Accidental is VAR's verdict.

Andrew Zarb: Do you seriously think that Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have enough consistency to be able to overhaul Leicester this season? I say this as a Manchester United fan, by the way.

Charlie Brown: I mean, it's gradually become an entertaining-ish game but seriously, only because it's shocking!

Aleks Yakubssohn: RE Andrew Fairbrother - Leicester's rut is due precisely to being found out by teams who are really not that much weaker. Jamie Vardy is great but we've seen many great strikers over the years, some playing for much lesser teams. some of those even got golden boots.
