    HT: Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

This is the start of a big month for Chelsea. Their next three games after this...

Home v Man Utd (Premier League).

    Home v Tottenham (Premier League).

Home v Bayern Munich (Champions League).

  2. 'Lampard not frightened to make big calls'published at 13:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

Former Man Utd striker on Football Focus

It is a big step in dropping Kepa Arrizabalaga but so far I have been incredibly impressed by Frank Lampard's decisions. He has shown he has not been frightened to make this big call.

Frank has to overcome these decisions - who does he play, when does he play them, does he drop Kepa now, does he not?

    He wants the pressure.

Desalegn Hailemariam: Just curious. Why did Man Utd sell Jonny Evans? Right now he would not be far from their best central defender. Some football decisions do not make sense.

Exiled Blue: Re Paul (13:15), yes they may have stumbled into 4th but many other teams have only stumbled to 5th 6th 10th etc.

  4. 'Impressed with Chelsea'published at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    HT: Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Matt Jarvis
Former Wolves & Norwich winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jonny Evans has put in some vital blocks. I've been very impressed with Chelsea and the way they've been playing. Callum Hudson-Odoi has been very lively and he's caused problems for Ben Chilwell, with Reece James backing him up.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea the better side in a low-quality game.

The half ends with Hamza Choudhury heading a decent chance wide after N'Golo Kante had put Ayoze Perez's cross behind.

Jamie Vardy has had just nine touches, the fewest of any player - and half as many as Leicester keeper Kaspar Schmeichel.

Paul: Chelsea showing just what a poor team they really are. Only stumbled into top 4 because other teams have not turned up this year...

    Harsh, Paul. Harsh...

  8. 'Cup defeat is a massive blow'published at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Tim Cahill
Former Everton midfielder on Football Focus

Losing in the Carabao Cup semi-finals is a massive blow, especially for Brendan Rodgers because he must have felt he had a realistic chance of winning a cup and doing well in the league. For the football club it is probably a shock to them that they lost but at the same time it is about how the react in today's game and for the rest of the league campaign.

  9. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea are ending the half strongly.

A cheeky back-heels by Callum Hudson-Odoi finds Reece James unmarked inside Leicester's penalty area but he can't finish.

  10. 'It is very quick for Vardy to be back'published at 13:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on Football Focus

It depends on the severity of the problem, but it is very quick for Jamie Vardy to be back from a hamstring injury. As quick as he is, he is not going to be able to stop himself sprinting all day. I hope he is going to be OK but it seems like a short period of time since he did it.

  11. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Reece James has come on leaps and bounds and the young Chelsea player almost fashions a great chance which Jonny Evans slices over his own bar. That could have ended up anywhere.

  12. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Ben Chilwell attempts a spectacular hook shot after Chelsea fail to clear a corner. That was a seven out of 10 effort.

  13. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

This is not a bad game but you sense if Chelsea and Leicester were under a bit more pressure from the chasing pack to seal a top four spot then this might be a bit more open.

  14. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Clever chip by Pedro from the edge of the penalty area which Kasper Schmeichel has to tip over his bar.

That was a decent attempt from the Spaniard who has not scored on the Premier League stage for almost a year.

Leicester respond through Harvey Barnes but he can't keep his composure and the ball balloons over the bar.

You sense there could be a goal coming.

Otto Klinzmann: Chelsea would have been a goal down by now with Kepa in goal, Caballero start justified

  16. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

I've just seen a replay of Willy Caballero's save from Jamie Vardy.

The chance came after a clever chest down by Ayoze Perez.

    Super stop.

  17. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

In recent history this fixture hasn’t actually produced too many goals.

Two of the last four meetings between these sides have ended 0-0 while the earlier league game this season at Stamford Bridge ended 1-1.

One shot on target in the opening 27 minutes.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 25 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    This is really opening up.

A mistake in Chelsea's defence lets in - of all people - Jamie Vardy who just has to beat Willy Caballero.

He can't! Caballero spreads himself to make a really good save.

Jack Lovatt: Chelsea need to take one of these chances while in the ascendency, will haunt them otherwise.

Dan Ullyatt: I wonder whether Cavani would have tapped one of those chances in?

  20. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

At last Leicester have woken up. Two attempts on goal - one by Youri Tielemans - but Antonio Rudiger is in the way of both.

Still Willy Caballero has yet to be tested in his first league game since May.
