  1. 'Chelsea really putting the pressure on'published at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Matt Jarvis
Former Wolves & Norwich winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Two really good opportunities for Tammy Abraham. The first he couldn't get out from behind him, but the second is a delightful ball from Reece James and he should really get on the end of it but he's not been able to time it right. Chelsea are really putting the pressure on Leicester.

  2. VAR checkpublished at 21 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Tammy Abraham wants a penalty!

The Chelsea forward is inside Leicester's penalty area with the ball at his feet when he is challenged by Caglar Soyuncu.

Referee Lee Mason says no penalty. So too - after a 60-second check - does the VAR team.

    Leicester are living dangerously.

  3. 'Lampard let down'published at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chelsea still have an incredibly good squad. There’s a number of teams in the Premier League that wouldn’t mind some of their players, but Frank Lampard just feels a bit let down. He’s overachieved to get to the top four and he feels there’s a real opportunity to kick on for next season. He feels let down to not be supported with the players he wants.

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Willy Caballero has hardly touched the ball in the opening 15 minutes. It's been a scrappy start by the Foxes who have hardly got going.

Chelsea are playing some decent stuff and Tammy Abraham is presented with two great chances in a minute. He can't finish either of them!

    Leicester need to wake up.

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

That high-scoring result I predicted earlier...can I change my mind?

It's a tight, niggly encounter. Chelsea are edging in terms of creativity but neither keeper has been tested. It's not a thriller!

  6. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Cesar Azpilicueta is enjoying lots of freedom down the left and he sparks another attack which sees Callum Hudson-Odoi tee-up Mason Mount to blaze over from close range. The offside flag is raised. Why didn't Hudson-Odoi have a pop himself? He had time and space.

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

What a season Jonny Evans is having! Where would Leicester be without him? Evans is alert to the danger and makes a vital clearance following Reece James' low centre into the six yard area. From the resulting corner, Evans is up to make another clearance.

The sun is really low and Kasper Schmeichel is already regretting not taking a cap out to shield his vision. Fortunately the Leicester keeper has yet to be tested.

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Another Chelsea attack but it ends in a horrible air-shot by Callum Hudson-Odoi who is standing unmarked in the D.

Poor finish but another encouraging move by the visitors involving Pedro and Cesar Azpilicueta.

  10. 'Leicester will bounce back'published at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

    Matt Jarvis
Former Wolves & Norwich winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Leicester will bounce back [from the defeat to Aston Villa]. They've had a bit of a tough run and obviously it's gutting to lose right at the end of a game when they've played quite well.

Today is an opportunity to get back to winning ways, and to beat Chelsea would really put them in good stead for the rest of the season.

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Tidy move from Chelsea in the opening minute as Callum Hudson-Odoi wriggles free to find Jorginho who in turns finds his captain Cesar Azpilicueta. Chelsea are speeding into Leicester's half but Pedro can't keep possession.

  13. Chelsea 'too passive'published at 12:29 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

A lot of Chelsea's play has been too slow, too passive in the final third, players coming inside rather than going outside of defenders and trying to cause problems that way, and that's what they have to improve on - yes they keep possession, yes they create chances, but they have to find someone else to put the ball in the back of the net.

Qaaltagh: You get the feeling Leicester have been coasting these last few weeks. With the exception of Perez and Barnes, they've not had any real outstanding performers in 2020. Tammy Abraham probably won't last the full 90 minutes and Jamie Vardy is showing his age a bit more - 1-1 for me.

I'm going for a high scoring game, Qaaltagh. 3-2 to Leicester.

  19. 'Spirit is strong'published at 12:19 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leicester v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

How do you get over missing out on a place in a Wembley cup final?

"We've spoken about it a lot," says Brendan Rodgers after Leicester's agonising 3-2 Carabao Cup aggregate defeat to Aston Villa in midweek.

"Every team is unified when you're winning. They're going to have bumps along the way, but we have to use it as a motivating factor as we're still in another cup competition [FA Cup].

"The spirit is still very strong."

This is Chelsea’s 12th consecutive Premier League match day starting the day fourth in the table, the longest run in that position since Tottenham started 23 consecutive games fourth between December 2005 and May 2006. Spurs ended that season fifth after losing to West Ham on the final day.
