Arsenal appear comfortable playing it out from the back (until it all goes wrong). Matteo Guendouzi almost plays himself into trouble but just gets away with it.

An excellent Bukayo Saka cross in from the left. It was a good move to put the 18-year-old at left-back as it's hard to get into this team as an attacker.

Bukayo Saka got caught quite high up as he tried to twist and turn away, being positive. He looks comfortable at the moment.

Mesut Ozil's free-kick is headed away and Shkodran Mustafi concedes a free-kick himself.

Bukayo Saka is limping but he's able to continue.

Excellent play by Arsenal's attacking left-back Bukayo Saka to send Jeff Hendrick one way and then the other and win a free-kick off Matthew Lowton.

What a start for Arsenal. Very encouraging. They can't pick up Ozil and Arsenal are finding space in midfield. Great energy and great passing and movement.

Plenty of Arsenal breaks so far. Gabriel Martinelli can't make the most of a counter but then Bukayo Saka's cross is headed behind for a corner.

    Burnley 0-0 Arsenal

An early chance for Arsenal and it's a good one. Mesut Ozil sprays the ball out left to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his perfect cross is on the head of Alexandre Lacazette but the French striker places his header wide from about 12 yards. Probably should have scored.

Burnley have got quality. They are not just all power, all about tackling and work ethic. They have got quality and a great style of play.

It's an amazing job that Sean Dyche has done. It's so underestimated. Look at the surroundings and the stadium at this club. For them to be in the Premier League and doing so well it is remarkable and full credit to Dyche.

    Burnley v Arsenal (14:00 GMT)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

No disrespect to Burnley but Arsenal should not be level with them on 30 points.

Both clubs are playing for different things. Arsenal are aiming for something bigger.

But with the manager they have now in Mikel Arteta I think he is going to change Arsenal. In another couple of years' time, after a few transfer windows, they will be there or thereabouts.

  17. 'Arsenal showed the right mentality at Chelsea'published at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2020

They have got to defend resolutely, Arsenal, which they have done. Look at them against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Down to 10 men, people were questioning their mentality and they have shown the right mentality to come away with a point, so fair play.

  18. 'Arsenal have been using rugby bags to get ready'published at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2020

    Burnley v Arsenal (14:00 GMT)

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC 5 Live

In the build-up to this game, Mikel Arteta has had to get the rugby bags in to help make his players more physically strong, getting them to run into them in training.

I have never heard anything like it. Clearly it has got to this stage now with this Arsenal team that he has got to bring in those bags to be get them physically ready for this game.

That just tells me something about this Arsenal side that worries me.

  19. 'It's a massive confidence-booster for Martinelli'published at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2020

    Burnley v Arsenal (14:00 GMT)

    Steve Sidwell
Former Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's all down to form. With Gabriel Martinelli, the numbers speak for themselves. He's got the goals and looks dangerous.

Mikel Arteta is not mucking about. When he took the job he said there were no negotiables - work-rate is the bare minimum, that's got to be a given.

Martinelli has stepped up to the plate with that and he's chipped in with assists and goals as well so it is a massive confidence-booster for him and that's what you want as a youngster coming into the game.

  20. 'Arteta has brought new meaning to Arsenal'published at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2020

    Burnley v Arsenal (14:00 GMT)

    Tim Cahill
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

The most evident thing is that Mikel Arteta has instilled the badge - what it means to play for Arsenal. The first thing that I see when watching is the press - every single player is pressing.

Without energy and intent you can't do anything. He has brought a new meaning to the club, which is evident.

Gabriel Martinelli is exciting. When he is on the pitch you know something is going to happen. He has got an attitude and a persona about him.

He is going to be a frightening acquisition in the years to come and he is definitely going to be a player Mikel Arteta will utilise a lot in the coming seasons.
