This game has been a million times better than I'd expected. Michail Antonio feeds Sebastien Haller and his first-time shot from the corner of the box is held by Alisson - the Liverpool keeper's first save.

West Ham keeper Lukasz Fabianski makes an excellent save to deny Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino can't turn it home at the back post.

It's absolutely lightning. It's brilliant, it's a cracking game. I thought the first half was good but the second half might be even better.

Corner to Liverpool now as Virgil van Dijk's shot is deflected wide. The home fans roar.

Unbelievable from Michail Antonio. He's picked out in space about eight yards out. Nobody is near him but he controls the ball straight into Alisson's arms.

He has his head in his hands, he can't quite believe what a chance that was to score.

Well done Liverpool, really good movement. Mohamed Salah has had a quiet game, he has not played particularly well. It's a nightmare for the goalkeeper, disastrous for him.

    Mohamed Salah

It's an absolute howler from Lukasz Fabianski and Liverpool are level.

Andy Robertson's low cross finds Mohamed Salah - who shoots with a first-time effort from 16 yards.

It's just rolling towards Fabianski, who somehow lets the ball squeeze between his legs.

This Sebastien Haller substitute means West Ham will probably go two up front. That is brave but it could be foolhardy.

It's not exactly a surprise to see Felipe Anderson go off, you want hard workers now. You think they might have brought a centre back on to give them some extra protection in the air from set pieces but Haller can do that too.

Before tonight, Liverpool had not lost any of their previous 77 Premier League games in which they had scored first. The last time was also their last Premier League defeat at Anfield - a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in April 2017.
