Paul: It isn't just Benteke. Ayew is stealing a living as a Premier League forward as well. People will say he's one of their top scorers. He's only scored six. With Ayew and Benteke up front and Zaha doing little but fall over and lose ball it's no surprise they lack goals.

Thousands of West Ham fans protested against the club’s owners ahead of this afternoon’s game against Southampton.

Supporters gathered in Plaistow and noisily made the mile-long walk towards the London Stadium.

The peaceful protest was organised by the Hammers United fans group as a response to continued disenchantment as the tenure of David Sullivan and David Gold, who have just completed 10 years at the club.

A meeting with various fans groups has been offered by Hammers United have rejected this due to the presence of other groups they do not feel represent the club’s supporters.

Brighton have played a front three today purely because of the pace they have got, Solly March has got to do better.

He's gone for the near post when he should have gone for the far post.

And what a chance now for Palace! Gary Cahill heads down from a corner, he's only about five yards out and should surely score, but the header hits the deck and bounces clear over the bar!

Unfair comments about Benteke as he's been injured for a lot of this season, when he has played he's almost scored each time, he's not far away from getting his form back

Ah that's nearly brilliant! Brighton put together a counter-attack of sheer class, the touch and movement to free Leandro Trossard is beautiful. Trossard is down the left, he has a man over and plays a peach of a ball with the outside of his right foot to tee up Solly March.

March has a long time to watch it coming, he has to put it back the way it came but he doesn't, he goes for the near post instead and hits the side-netting.

    What a chance!

Crystal Palace's heat map tells a story - they're pinned back into their own half and are being bombarded down their left flank. Apart from a few forays down the wing, the Eagles have really struggled to get near the Brighton box.

Good early crossfield ball finds Solly March on the right, he cuts inside and hits a low shot but it's an easy grab for Vicente Guaita. Christian Benteke is then booked for a proper centre-forward's challenge on Lewis Dunk.

Its getting spicy now! I'm intrigued to see Zaha now he's switched from the right to the left and he's been aggravated by the subs and by the fans.

Palace should give him the ball because he now wants to prove a point.

Here we go! Wilfried Zaha responds to some taunting from the crowd by doing the hands behind ears gesture, Brighton sub Ezequiel Schelotto is down in that corner warming up and kicks the ball at Zaha. It all bubbles up a touch with some pushing and shoving, toing and froing and I think Schelotto was shown a yellow card there despite not being on the pitch.

Zaha is booed loudly when he next gets on the ball, it's raised the temperature anyway.

Mark from Sussex: Why do Palace persist with Benteke? His form has deserted him they have Tosun on the bench and really they should have bought someone in, they have a poor scoring record but do create chances.
