  1. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Poland 1-1 Slovakia

Almost a second for Poland as Karol Linetty strikes first time from Mateusz Klich's cross, it is a much cleaner hit than his goal but the shot is straight at Martin Dubravka.

    All Poland.

It is a well worked goal, Karol Linetty does finish it but he doesn't hit it cleanly, Martin Dubravka will think he could have got a hand to it. Linetty scuffs it, and Dubravka gets down too late.

The goal is an obvious positive but Poland already looks streets ahead of their first-half display - more intensity and more intention. Slovakia have to be careful here.

    HT: Poland 0-1 Slovakia

Paul Collins: Lewandowski is having to do what Harry kane did for us yesterday. Not in the game at all so having to drop into midfield to get involved which lessens his impact.

John Dunthorne: Any team that chooses Szczesny over Fabiansky deserve everything they get

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Poland 0-1 Slovakia

There's the half time whistle and it is so far, so good for Slovakia as they lead thanks to that Wojciech Szczesny own goal.

The touch is brilliant but the ball is going behind him so he's always stretching to get his shot away. You can see Slovakian defenders are coming out to him and making the angle tight.

That's what Lewandowski wants, balls into the box and nine times out of ten he usually always hits the target. That's where he comes alive. Just feed Lewandowski because he is clinical.

A few groans from the Poland fans as another attack breaks down.

Plenty of huff and puff but a lack of quality so far when they go forward.

    Poland 0-1 Slovakia

Still plenty of possession for Poland but a worrying lack of creativity in and around the box. They often resort to just trying to force their way into the area and hoping something comes off.

Piotr Zielinski spins and shoots for Poland just outside the box but sweeps his shot wide and Martin Dubravka's wait for a first save goes on.

He's had a couple of crosses that he's had to come and deal with, but he hasn't had a shot to save. For how Poland have dominated possession at times, they haven't created chances.

That's the biggest thing to do, create chances and then you put the ball in the back of the net.

  19. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Poland 0-1 Slovakia

Grzegorz Krychowiak pounces on mix up in the Slovakia defence to let let fly with a fizzing effort from distance but it is just over the bar.

They're playing with so much confidence. Slovakia are the team that are dominating and are the team that are most likely to get the second goal.
