    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC One

When Danilo and Carvalho was sat in there, I don't know if the back line was too exposed and gave the opposition too much space.

With the additions of Sanches and Moutinho in there it is a lot more balanced.

    Portugal 0-0 France

Portugal work the ball to Renato Sanches, whose shot is terribly miskicked and bounces through to Hugo Lloris, almost causing the keeper a problem by fluke.

  3. Postpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Germany 0-0 Hungary

Think we're going to have to get used to watching Germany stroke the ball square along the back and in midfield. Hungary are unlikely to be here to attack with abandon.

    Portugal 0-0 France

Former Real Madrid team-mates Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo are two of the main men up front for the teams tonight.

Ronaldo has 12 Euros goals, Benzema has zero.

  5. Postpublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Germany 0-0 Hungary

Almost an opening in the second minute for the home side, but Leroy Sane has no chance of reaching the through-ball.

Limited crowd here, but there's plenty of atmosphere.

  6. Postpublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Portugal 0-0 France

Jules Kounde is a slightly maverick pick at right-back for France tonight. This is only his second cap and he's a centre-back really. He has an early cross cleared.

  7. Postpublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Germany 0-0 Hungary

Kai Havertz immediately draws a foul from a Hungary player. He's come a long way since those early days at Chelsea when people were judging him by that huge fee and his initial modest on-field return.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Germany 0-0 Hungary

    It's loud, it's tense, it's wet, it's a potential Euros cracker.

We are also under way at the Allianz.

  9. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Portugal 0-0 France

Could this be the game of the Euros so far? Let's hope so. Under way in Budapest.

    Jurgen Klinsmann
Former Germany head coach on BBC One

I think they're confident, but I don't think they'll underestimate this Hungary team.

They're a tough team to grind down and Germany will have to be patient and not get too frustrated. If they get into a flow going forward like they did against Portugal and stay disciplined defensively, then they will get their three points.

Not many natural singers in this Hungary team.

I'd back the German lads at judge's houses.

  12. 'Germany could go all the way'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Germany v Hungary (20:00 BST)

    Jurgen Klinsmann
Former Germany head coach on BBC One

We were so good against Portugal, that was just a wonderful performance.

It really showed that the team is back, they have a good spirit and they're hungry again after all these disappointment with Russia and the Nations League.

Now their hopes are back that maybe Germany could go all the way.

  13. 'Hungary have got players that can make things happen'published at 19:56 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Germany v Hungary (20:00 BST)

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

There were times in the France game where Hungary showed good courage. They threw players forward, they had to.

They've got good attacking players, good pace and good intent. With Sallai, they've got three good players that can make things happen.

  14. 'France front-three has everything'published at 19:55 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Portugal v France (20:00 BST)

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

The France front three has a bit of everything. They're not frightened to put it in behind because of their pace or to put crosses into the box because of their quality in the air.

    Portugal v France (20:00 BST)

The players are out and it's time for the national anthems in Budapest. A strange one where this game is in Hungary while their own national team have a huge game elsewhere.

  16. 'Kante is the best in the world'published at 19:54 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Portugal v France (20:00 BST)

    Frank Lampard
Kante's former Chelsea manager on BBC One

You seriously miss N'Golo Kante in the big games because he is a big game player. He is the best in the world at being a destructor. To win the ball back you need anticipation and the speed to get tight and close distances. Kante does that like no-one else in world football.

You have to allow him to travel with the ball. He can find passes that he doesn't get credit for and his close control in tight areas is fantastic as well.

This is Phil covering the Germany-Hungary game and I can report that it has been absolutely smashing it down in Munich!

Thankfully, I'm somewhere a bit drier.

The teams are out and we'll have the formalities before we get this show on the road.

Hungary are so tough to break down. They are so disciplined, so emotional and they give everything they have. They will run until the end of everything.

But on the other hand, they are not playing at home this time. I think they had really big support in Budapest, now they're playing in Munich and it's a completely different story.

    The world through its media

Kicker magazine, external says that "Jamal Musiala could celebrate his European Championship debut at the end of the group phase," after Joachim Low named the youngster in the squad for the game against Hungary. However, "there is still a big question mark about Thomas Müller," who is carrying a knee problem.

Kicker suggested that Loew "may be holding 31-year-old Müller as a joker" in order not to "endanger his participation in the round of 16".

Germany defender Mats Hummels is confident that Germany will secure their place in the last 16, but said the team are not taking their opponents lightly. "None of us already sees it as something we have already won. We have the spirit. I am sure that we will approach the game the right way," Hummels told Kicker,, external adding that "we know that there won't be chances every minute against a team like Hungary".

The tabloid Bild, external recalls that Germany beat the favourite Hungary in the 1954 World Championships final in what it described as the "birth hour of German football" after World War Two. "This time Germany is the clear favourite, the Hungarians the big underdog in the group. At least after the impressive 4-2 win against Portugal, everyone expects a German victory in the last game and a place in the round of 16," Bild says.
