Pau Torres, under pressure from Breel Embolo, concedes a corner but Embolo looks to tweak his hamstring as he tries to win possession and this doesn't look good for him.

Excluding own goals, Jordi Alba is the seventh different Spanish player to score at Euro 2020.

In European Championship history, only Germany in 2012 have had more different scorers at a single edition (eight).

Lots of space for Pablo Sarabia to operate in on the left as the ball is worked out wide to him. He delivers a dangerous cross that is headed behind for another Spain corner.

These 2 yellow card suspensions are a nonsense. Who wants them? Surely at least make it 3, or wipe them earlier.

    Switzerland 0-1 Spain

Switzerland are a little bit rattled at the moment after that early set back.

Their gameplan had looked good and they were causing Spain problems. They are having to do some defending at the moment to avoid going further behind.

That came out the blue. An out-swinging corner aimed at Laporte. The ball finds itself on the corner of the box and Jordi Alba just swings his left foot. Sommer is committed to his left, he had no chance.

Lucky goal, but Spain have had their moments.

    Big deflection but Spain lead!

Straight after that Switzerland attack Spain go up the other end of the pitch and win a corner. The delivery initially looks poor as it is cleared to the edge of the box but Jordi Alba is there and his strike from distance is diverted past his own keeper by Denis Zakaria.

    Switzerland 0-0 Spain

Look at the numbers as Switzerland break forward! They have five charging towards the box with Denis Zakaria in possession.

A bad touch on the edge of the area gives Pau Torres enough of a nibble to clear, but the pace of that Switzerland attack will be of concern for Spain.

Ferran Torres swings a cross in from the right and Nico Elvedi makes a bit of a mess of his clearance, slicing the ball into the air, but Yann Sommer cleans up for his team-mate with a confident punch away.

A sign of things to come with Spain patient in possession and Switzerland looking to pounce on the counter.

The Swiss break after a nice Spain move down the left is snuffed out and Xherdan Shaqiri charges through the middle. He is eyeing a shot from distance and eventually lets fly but his strike is blocked.
