    BIG goal!

Álvaro Morata has faced criticism and the blow of being dropped for this game but he comes up with the goods at the crucial time as he is played in by the superb Dani Olmo and then confidently rolls the ball in.

That's bad news for Italy but great news for the neutrals. A brilliant game is looking like going to extra time unless there's a twist to come before the 90 minutes are up...

You've got to hit it! Why did he wait? Maybe he lost the angle but you've always got to try. Morata lost it with his touch

Josh Hammond: I really hope Spain get an equaliser. I want this to go to penalties. It's been SO entertaining. I don't want this game to end!

saidmadrid: I guess Mancini had this game pictured in his mind beforehand, hence his tactics

One of these keepers is going to make a mistake they're taking far too long on the ball. They're getting closed down and they're not outfield players, get the ball to the outfield players as quick as possible.

    Italy 1-0 Spain

As far as either England or Denmark are concerned the pace of the Italy counter - if they do go through - will be an obvious concern but there's been some nervous moments for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Better finishing than Spain have managed and he could have had a difficult night.

    Italy 1-0 Spain

Álvaro Morata is played in on the right and this is a chance for Spain but he delays getting his shot off, allowing Italy's defence to close off the angle and in the end his shot is blocked.

    Had to be quicker there.

You've got to take the risk and unfortunately you're going to be hit on the counter when you've got so many players up.

There's no pace on the cross but you are six yards out - all you've got to do is connect with the ball, hit the target and you will score.
