Good goalkeeping from Jordan Pickford as he spots the danger from Martin Braithwaite's cross and comes flying out before punching the ball away to safety.

How quick did that move, three passes and it's a great strike. He is offside and it's a good save by Jordan Pickford, he gets a strong hand to it.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 51 mins

    England 1-1 Denmark

Denmark drive forward and it's dangerman Mikkel Damsgaard who gets a snap shot away from the edge of the box, but Jordan Pickford does well to spring low down and push the ball away.

    Damsgaard was offside anyway.

Quite happy with the way the game's going. We look the better team. Denmark are a good team but we're better. Their goal should give us the kick up the backside we needed. Couple of changes on 60 minutes and we win 3-1.

    John in Teesside

Well my prediction of 0 - 0 at half time with Grealish coming on and scoring 2 to get us to the final has gone. Come on England.

England need to build on the strong finish at the end of the half. Keep the momentum and not let the Danes back.

Denmark don't like the pace offered by Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka.

On this occasion, the Arsenal man is dropped by Jannik Vestergaard, who got dragged out wide.

The big man doesn't like it out there.

No changes from either side, btw.

I reckon Gareth Southgate's key message at half-time will be just to calm down and not get too frantic. Just be patient.

Off we go for the second half.

    ITV

Former England defender Gary Neville on ITV: "Jordan Pickford should have done better, the goal was coming, Denmark were getting through was way too easily.

"It is a long way out, if the ball goes into the corner then it is fair enough, but that is in the middle. He put himself in a situation where he cannot see the ball.

"Our full-backs have to make sure they stay attached to our centre-backs. Shaw and Walker are going to press the wing backs way too early and leaving Maguire and Stones exposed."

  20. Strong finish from Englandpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

    England 1-1 Denmark

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

A great half - Denmark started slowly and very cautious and England got after them. Then Denmark came into the game and scored an unbelievable free-kick and looked like a threat at times but England finished the last 10 minutes of that half really, really strong.
