Mike Hall: Denmark are simply chasing the ball back to Pickford and waiting for the mistake because Rice and Phillips are passing back too regularly when pressed.

Steve Adams: There's an old saying: "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face" That was us getting punched. Denmark in full control now.

Brian Yerkes: That was a really decent hit, but Pickford should be stopping that. Ball went in nowhere near the left side of his goal.

Denmark overall the better team so far and deserve that. What a hit. Saka completely absent so far though, needs to step up.

That's been coming for a while, we're asleep, giving the ball away, and making stupid fouls!!! We look amateurish.

Denmark have grown into this game so impressively while England have become rattled and ragged. Gareth Southgate just gesturing to his players to steady down.

The crowd have come to life again, trying to rally the side on.

England have dropped off badly after that bright start.

Denmark can afford to sit in now and soak up the pressure.

As soon as he hit it, it was in. The pace. You could say Pickford, could he have got there? Pickford did fall to his knees, he was gutted with conceding it. But from my angle the pace on it, I don't think he could have done anything about it. Straight away Kane, Stones, Maguire were like 'come on, we've got this'. We've got the bench and we can come back from this but it was a sensational free-kick and it was going in the moment he struck it.

You'll not see a better free kick than that. How good is this technique? He just steps up to hit it with the top of his foot. It's not far off the top corner. Jordan Pickford might be a bit disappointed he hasn't got there but it's the sheer pace of the ball that beats him.

    Fantastic technique.

    Mikkel Damsgaard

    What a beauty.

England concede their first goal of the tournament and it is a special strike.

Young Mikkel Damsgaard goes with the Cristiano Ronaldo technique, whipped side-footed over the wall and dipping into the top corner.

Jordan Pickford gets a fingernail on it but now England have work to do.

From a neutral’s perspective, this match is perfectly poised. England's desire and verve against Denmark's control and counter-threat. This is why we're watching...

TheArmchairFootballFan: excellent first ten or so as usual but have dropped back and are letting #DEN, external play atm. Looked better when they were pressing hard.

Andrew Morris: Having seen most of England's games, this feels like the first time they've been under the cosh & facing sustained pressure.

Jon Evans: We need to keep the pace of the first 15 minutes. Sadly we've dropped off already. Denmark have been untidy so far, but dropping off allows them back into this and build some momentum.

Everyone is giving the ball away, a bit of pressure and they're losing the ball. There's too many players now not looking after the ball well enough.

It's become a bit scrappy but when Denmark have the ball they slow the game right down and England are trying really hard to get it back.
