Former England left back Ashley Cole on ITV: "It’s a little bit surreal, but seeing the boys celebrating here with their families was brilliant. I think they worked so hard and to see how happy they are with the staff, the manager, the coaches it is brilliant to see.
"The players that come on, Foden coming, a lot of strength and depth there was a lot of quality coming on. Always willing to drive and go at opponents and defenders and that scared Denmark and ultimately we got the penalty from that.
"Its emotional, When Kalvin Phillips was here I told him big respect because he has been tremendous in this tournament, he has been so solid and I think he has been integral for this England team."

Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
If you look at Italy they have come in as free spirits. They had nothing to lose, had an outside chance. A lot of people thought they haven't done anything but they have this amazing record. They play with a spirit, they just enjoy it. If they have to kick the ball 80 yards into the stand they'll do it.
For them to come into this tournament thinking we've got nothing to lose. They will be so determined to win it. They'll use all the experience they've got. They are a powerful side with a lot of energy about them. They might defend in numbers but they've got pace on the break and it's going to be a very difficult game for England.

Micah Richards
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
I think the midfield battle against Italy will be very interesting. Rice and Phillips have done such a great job shielding, but I've been watching Italy a lot and they know how to dictate the pace of a game and that is the battle I think where the game is going to be won and lost. I have faith in this England side. It's just down to the boys now and have the final belief they can do it. They've come this far, and I do believe in them.

Former England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
I think the two best teams are in the final and it's going to be mouthwatering. It really is. Margins are going to be really small and it's just going to be breathtaking. We're in a final, the fans loved it. What a moment guys, what a moment.

Denmark women forward Nadia Nadim: "Denmark came here and put in a performance in the first half, took the lead and then lost the game on a soft penalty so it is disappointing.
"But once this has sunk in they should be proud, they had an amazing run in this tournament and when they arrive home they will be received as heroes because that is what they are.
"Really good composure in the first half, scored an amazing goal, the only free kick in this tournament. They just got tired and didn't have the depth in the squad."

Former England right back Gary Neville on ITV: "Denmark played a brilliant game, they faded a little bit towards the end.
"I have to say Gareth Southgate, the players the staff they all got it right today. We have never done this before in our lifetimes. We have had so much pain, so much let down and now we are going to a final.
"These are not nearly lads, they have actually gone and done something this year.
"If we are being fair, you would be devastated to lose to a penalty like that but they have been consistent in this tournament to be reluctant to overturn decisions."

Nick Hughes: Denmark have been epic all tournament after how it began. Mæhle, Schmeichel & Damsgaard were incredible but they got leggy & the subs didn't work once Damsgaard went off. Neither forward got involved or had the service. Did Eriksen proud.

England manager Gareth Southgate speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I'm not sure what to think at the moment, I always felt we would get there tonight but I knew it might be a tortuous path. We've been so smooth through the knockout stages we knew we would have a hurdle to overcome. We knew Denmark are a great side, they had huge support with them. The great thing about this group of players is that they've had so many different experiences and found so many different ways to win matches that they didn't panic at the those moments, they withstood, they came back and clawed their way back into the game. In the end it's a wonderful evening for our fans, for our public and for our country."
On the penalty: "I've not seen the penalty - I don't know how the incident looked. There is VAR so I assume they checked it and stuck with the referee's decision. The big advantage was having our fans in those moments of the game where we had to dig in and towards the end where we had a little wobble where all we needed to do was to keep the ball. When you've waited as long as we have that was inevitably going to be part of the mind set."
On Denmark: "I think they have some tremendous players, they ran out of steam at the end but they've had an incredible tournament and I have to give my congratulations to them. To a man they have been amazing and the captain Simon Kjaer has been an incredible person. What he did on the day Christian Eriksen went down, tonight was our night but he's been an incredible leader through this.
On Jack Grealish: "He's fine - he understood, he was terrific when he came on he gave us momentum but we know when they've gone behind in games they've thrown four men up front so we needed to get an extra defender on just to make sure we were more solid and I wanted to keep Raheem's [Sterling] speed on so it meant taking one of the two boys off who had just come on."
On the final: "This group of players have been fantastic to work with, their togetherness, those not in the team supporting their team mates, they deserve what's happening. They've been a joy to work with. We have one more step against a fantastic team who are unbeaten in however many matches we know the size of the task, we know they have those two warriors at the back who have seen all this before. But what a brilliant moment for us. Let's savour tonight then we can think about that on the coach back to Burton."

England captain Harry Kane to ITV: "For once it fell our way. Credit to the boys, what a performance, we responded really well after falling 1-0 down but we controlled the game.
Best one-two you've played? "Damn right it is, it wasn't the penalty I wanted to execute, went lower than I thought but a bonus is bounced back to me.
"First time in our history to get through to the European final and at Wembley, one of the proudest moments of my life for sure.
"One more to go."

England's Kyle Walker speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:
On reaching the final: "No team has done it since 1966 so to finally get this country where it deserves and to do it at Wembley is going to be something special, but there is one more door to knock down and I can assure you that each and every one of us will give it our all to make sure that we can knock that last door down."
On the penalty: "I haven't looked back so I haven't seen the penalty but listen, things swing in your way, things don't. I've been in football matches where it has;t and tonight if you're saying it was a 50:50 call it swung our way. The grit and determination that this group has shown, we haven't been behind in a game in these Euros so to go behind to a special goal you have to take your hat off to it, but to bounce back quite quickly and then to last the full extra-time as well with Harry getting the penalty, to be there for the rebound it's big moments. Big players need to step up in big moments and we've got that in abundance in that dressing room."
On Sunday being a career defining moment:"I've been very fortunate to pick up medals over the years but this one for your country... I played here for Sheffield United in the play-off final. That was probably one of the best moments in my career. Tonight, topped it or came very close. Not many players in this country play for England, so to represent your country once is fantastic, but in a European Championship to get to a final is something special. We all need to cherish this moment but we all need to concentrate. It's one last step to make history for this country and get some credit we deserve."

England midfielder Declan Rice to BBC Sport: "Time to go one better from the World Cup. My emotions are all over the place.
"It would have been wrong of us to overlook them. We knew our memtality had to be right. With the quality we had we knew we'd break them down in the end.
"Conceding the first goal was our first set back, you have to take a deep breath and not get carried away.
"A first final since 66. I so want to do it for the people at home. Seeing the reactions - I'm a fan as well. I wish I was with them cheering, we've not won anything yet. Italy are a top side but we're ready.
Who you were just on the phone to? "My brother has literally had a baby, as the second goal went in. He's crying his eyes out, he's had a little girl. It's a special night all round."
