England's win over Denmark in the Euro 2020 semi-finals prompted a flurry of emotions for everyone connected to the Three Lions.
But for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips it was also a time for reflection.
He wore a shirt with 'Granny Val' on the back - a tribute to his grandmother Valerie Crosby, who died in February.
It is the latest in a number of public displays of affection from the 25-year-old, who has previously explained the importance his grandmother played in shaping his personality and career.
Phillips' tribute sparked a number of comments from followers who experienced similar emotions while following England's victory.
Jonjo_Tweddle1982: Cried after the game thinking about my dad. We watched so many years of football together, he would have loved last night and been so proud. Will definitely cry when we win Sunday thinking of him again.
Nat85x: My son was 2 years old when he passed away and already loved football. This is for him and for everyone that didn't get a chance to live their dreams.

Adrian: I'll be working a night shift so will likely miss the game. Please give a shout out to frontline staff working tonight during the match. Good luck England!
Okay, so I let Adrian hijack my get involved but I think the doctors, nurses and all other frontline staff going about their business this evening, more then merit a mention.
Keep the films coming though.

Andrew Marr
Presenter, The Andrew Marr Show
You know the size of today's final is off the scale when Andrew Marr kicks off his show like this...
"On this muggy July morning, nobody has got more spirit, more optimism, more determination than England.
"I have always thought that buy and large football stands outside politics and of course not all parts of the UK will feel the same emotions later this evening.
"But it will be plain stupid to deny how big tonight may be. How this tournament has brought England together.
"Whatever happens, pride will remain for Gareth Southgate and his team.
"So far no on pitch boorishness, no silly off pitch bragging, rather professionalism and courage."

Some line-up that but it's not the only place you can follow all the action.
BBC Radio 5 Live will have full match commentary from Wembley.
Mark Chapman is going to do his thing presenting the build-up from 18:00 and there is a special 606 with Alistair Bruce-Ball and Chris Sutton from 23:00.
The BBC Sport website will also have build-up to the final throughout Sunday followed by live text commentary, goal clips, highlights, report and reaction.
But seeing as you are here, I guess you already knew that.
Italy v England (20:00 BST)
BBC One
In case for some reason you didn't know you can watch and follow all the action from the Euro 2020 final on the BBC.
Build-up starts from 18:20 for the biggest game for England since the 1966 World Cup final.
Former England striker Gary Lineker will be joined at Wembley by ex-England captain Alan Shearer and former Three Lions players Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard.
Gabby Logan will be pitchside, and alongside her will be former England women's defender Alex Scott and World Cup and European Championship winner Jurgen Klinsmann.
Guy Mowbray and former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas will be on comms and Kelly Somers will also be at Wembley with all of the squad news and player interviews.
One among many things I am looking forward to this evening is the national anthems.
Il Canto degli Italiani is one of my favourites and God Save the Queen is likely to reverberate around Wembley (and my house).
So just getting in the mood, let's try Nessun dorma.
A classic made in Italy but loved by all football fans and underscoring England's emphatic 4-0 win over Ukraine in the last eight.

Rachel: We have always bought papers after landmark sporting occasions - we have a huge stack already for Euro 2020.
Glad it's not just me Rachel. I stick to finals mind.
Lovely play on David Bowie (I think).
Definitely a song on my afternoon playlist.

For those that like a bit of William Shakespeare, The Sunday Times has gone with a line from Henry V on a very patriotic front cover.
I've had a thing in the past where I've nipped down to the newsagents to buy all the papers after certain big games.
Without giving away my club allegiance I've done it after a couple of big European matches as they are quite nice to look back on.
Is that weird or does anyone else do it? Anyway getting to the point, one or two of today's national newspapers might be worth grabbing...

England Women record goalscorer Kelly Smith has called for calm among the men's side as they prepared to take on Italy in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday evening.
"It's a massive occasion, a massive day for the boys," Smith, who played in England's defeat to Germany in the Women's Euro 2009 final, told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"They just need to be as calm as possible as it's a long day for them today with the late kick-off, so they just need to handle the nerves.
"It's a long drawn-out day, but the players will have had all the information from Gareth (Southgate) and it is just about managing the day now."
England midfielder Declan Rice blasting out Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline, is a joy to behold.

I've been to St.George's Park a few times down the years. Really narrow roads down there and barely a house in sight.
The players will have loved that.
