Ross Barkley breaking into the area - good save! George Long makes a very good barrier stop to prevent the England man from doubling up.

  2. 'Hull can cause problems'published at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

There's enough in the game for Hull at the moment not to be panicked by the goal they've conceded. They can cause probelms. They're still in this game, and the reaction has been very positive from Hull.

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea just starting to control more of the possession in midfield, Mateo Kovacic getting on the ball. Pedro lofts a ball into the path of Michy Batshuayi who shoots wide via a deflection.

Where's Batshuayi going on loan next week?

  4. 'Eaves has got to do better'published at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

I've seen Tom Eaves play a few times and he's missed quite a few chances. That was an unbelievable chance. The speed of Jarrod Bowen down the right is a great outlet for Hull... but Eaves has got to do better with that.

  5. 'We did not play well enough'published at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

FT: West Ham 0-1 West Brom

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to Match of the Day: "We put a strong team out. I was well aware it was a home tie so I wanted to try to make it work, but on the day we did not play well enough.

“We did not start the game well. We gave up opportunities in the early part of the game and they were better than us in the opening period and they got their goal in that time.

“We were a bit fortunate we did not concede another goal but we got through to half-time and I made a decision to make a few changes.

“I had seen too many poor passes, too many balls being kicked off the pitch and not enough good play. We had to attempt to get through or at least get a draw but we were not quite able to get there.

“I think we had a lot of opportunities to have an attempt on target so sometimes you can take that stat slightly differently. We were in good positions to make it happen and we didn’t, but they were better.

“We were better in the second half but we could not quite manufacture a good cross or through pass so you have to give West Brom credit for that.

“If anything, their red card made it tighter, made it more difficult to get through. They did a good job but we had opportunities – one fell to Mark Noble, a really good chance, but apart from that we did not have loads of opportunities.”

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Flap! Mallik Wilks with real pace down the left, he stands up a cross and Willy Caballero is not convincing under it at all. The keeper gets away with it just about, batting it down but just out of reach of Tom Eaves.

That width from Chelsea causes problems again as Pedro this time gets clear down the left but it's well dealt with this time. Lively start.

  9. 'This is what I like about Chelsea'published at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

This is what I like about this Chelsea team. Excellent width from Callum Hudson-Odoi, a great switch of play, a great cross in, and I thoiught Michy Batshuayi should have scored the first time but no problem for the striker and he's put them 1-0 up.

GOAL - Hull 0-1 Chelseapublished at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Michy Batshuayi (6 mins)

It's been all Hull but Chelsea score with their first real attack. A quick switch of play sends Cesar Azpilicueta away down the right, he looks for Callum Hudson-Odoi in the middle. It's beyond him but breaks for Michy Batshuayi on the edge of the box, his side-footed strike takes a hefty deflection and wrongfoots keeper George Long on its way in.

    Cruel on Hull.

  11. 'One of my most satisfying moments'published at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    FT: Burnley 1-2 Norwich

    Norwich City

Norwich defender Grant Hanley: "I think the lads deserve a lot of credit. It is tough coming here and they have a gameplan. We spoke of coming here and earning the right to play and I think we did. We got on top of our individual battles and earned the right to play. We had character to win those battles.

"We are a team that want to dominate possession and create chances. Whoever is on the pitch has the ability to do that.

For a player who doesn't score goals it is probably one of the most satisfying moments I've had on a pitch (scoring the opening goal). I was getting stick, being a former Blackburn player.

"We have set our standards and want to win every game. Wins have been hard to come by so it can only give us a boost."

Really bright start from Hull as Tom Eaves bulldozes past a man and wins another corner. Kurt Zouma tells his teammates to think.

  13. 'Different dressing room - same pitch'published at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

FT: Coventry City 0-0 Birmingham City

Coventry City boss Mark Robins: "I'm proud of my players. Birmingham are a good side from a higher division. We acquitted ourselves really well and we're disappointed we didn't win it at the end.

"It was a gilt edged chance at the end and you have to take opportunities like that. But we're still in the hat for the fifth round and that's miles better than going out of the competition. The atmosphere was great - you want to play in front of that every week."

On being the home team at St Andrew's: "It felt different in that we had people behind the dugout screaming and shouting at us. We will be going into a different dressing room [for the replay] but we'll be playing on the same pitch."

  14. Postpublished at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Lovely bit of play down the Hull right as George Honeyman finds danger man Jarrod Bowen in the area - he's closed down but it's a very early corner for the hosts.

  15. Postpublished at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

An unflattering performance from West Ham. Only the one goal for the Baggies, who had several chances to extend their lead.

    Southampton

Southamptin goalscorer Sofiane Boufal speaking to Match of the Day: "All football players, we love to play these type of games, you have a very good atmosphere in the stadium, the fans, both teams want to win.

"The game was open and for me it was frustrating to see this game from the bench but I can score, so I'm happy.

"We want to go to the final of the FA Cup. The team is now in a very good moment, we win a lot of games so we have a lot of confidence. So yes, we can beat a lot of teams in this Premier League."

  20. 'It was a very intense game'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    FT: Southampton 1-1 Tottenham

    Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl speaking to Match of the Day: "It was a very intense game from both sides, it was ping-pong a little bit, it could have been 3-3 or 4-4. Because the rules are not the best, we have another game, in a break in the season - I don't understand this but OK, we have to do it. It's for us not perfect but we must accept it.

"We had a few chances in the second half, a clear penalty for Ings and I don't know why that was not a penalty. I think we had so many chances it was only a matter of time when we scored.

"In the end we didn't stop working or creating chances, there was a good atmosphere here and a very intense game from our side. The change of the system after the goal was good from our position, we had more quality, had a few good crosses, good chances and it's a pity that we only made 1-1.

"Both sides took it very, very seriously. Every team wanted the win and this is what a cup game is for. A very intense game, a lot of chances on both sides, a fantastic game. We were very competitive today again, I had a feeling we were closer to a second goal than the opponent."
