    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

What an exciting player Jarrod Bowen is! He takes the ball out of the sky with a brilliant touch, tortures Marcos Alonso with a driving run which leaves the left-back in his wake, he gets to the edge of the area and under immense pressure fires in a shot over the bar.

Hull snapping in to everything as the honey monster in midfield wins the ball back well. We are approaching the hour mark, time for Kamil Grosicki?

Chelsea have gone a little bit soft. They're losing tackles, getting put on the ground.

  4. Postpublished at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Hull win two corners, Michy Batshuayi has to defend manfully at the near post, but Chelsea do defend and defend well. The Premier League side are up against it here.

    Corner ball again!

  5. Postpublished at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Good tempo and zip from Hull now as Robbie McKenzie steps in and takes Pedro down with a great challenge. The crowd enjoyed that one.

Hull looking better - but still, Willy Caballero hasn't had to do much in the Chelsea net.

Chelsea might be 1-0 up and the stats don't lie but I feel we were a bit flat and pedestrian. Hull are still very much in this game. We need to go for it now.

  7. 'Hull have got the shackles off'published at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

Good half-time I think, from Grant McCann, he's said the right things to his players. They've got the shackles off and they're really going at Chelsea. Chelsea have looked uncomfortable when the ball has come into the box, especially at pace.

  8. Postpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Quality from Jarrod Bowen again, beats Marcos Alonso with ease to win a corner. Hull have started the half well.

  9. Postpublished at 18:36 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

Herbie Kane lines up the free-kick but it's never going to threaten. Kane was very impressive when playing for that young Liverpool side at Villa just before Christmas.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

A lovely flick finds Jarrod Bowen in a lane to run at the Chelsea defence, he's flying so Mateo Kovacic slides in from the side and takes him down. Booked.

  11. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Under way!

  12. Postpublished at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

Some young Hull fans line the entrance of the tunnel eager to get a high-five from Ross Barkley. Someone have a word!

  15. So far, so goodpublished at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea have lost none of their last 27 games in all competitions when leading at half time (W21 D6) since a 2-1 defeat against Wolves in the Premier League back in December 2018.

  16. 'Hull have got a foot in this game'published at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    HT: Hull 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

After conceding early, to go in at half-time 1-0, Grant McCann will be absolutely delighted. Maybe think about Kamil Grosicki coming on because I'm telling you, he'll cause problems behind Cesar Azpilicueta. They've recovered well - there was a spell where Chelsea were just sublime, but then they got sloppy.

Hull have got a foot in this game.

It's another good save from George Long, Cesar Azpilicueta arrives late to take a cross from Marcos Alonso on his chest and shoot from a tight angle. It's one you'd expect Long to save but he has to be alert to push it out.
