The way Shrewsbury finished the first half was so encouraging, the way opportunities came their way. You have just got to put this goal out of your head now and get on with it. It's such a shame for Donald Love because he had a decent first half.

As far as 'good' own goals go, where does that stand? Djimi Traore scored a pretty decent one for Liverpool...

This one is gutting for everybody in the stadium. The young man is just trying to help the ball round the post and has put it into his own net. Disaster for the team.

    Shrewsbury 0-2 Liverpool

BBC One has just shown a Shrewsbury fan sat in the stands with his head in his hands. Pretty much sums that up.

    Donald Love (own goal)

    28 seconds!!!

This is such an awful start for Shrewsbury. Neco Williams curls one into the box and Donald Love slots it into his own net on the volley.

It's a brilliant finish, just in the wrong goal. Curtis Jones applauds the cross but runs straight back to the middle.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Shrewsbury 0-1 Liverpool

This goal was the difference in the first half. Will there be a comeback from Shrewsbury or has Curtis Jones done enough to send Liverpool through to the next round again?

If you're already looking ahead to the draw for the fifth round, it takes place live on The One Show on BBC One tomorrow. Should be happening around 19:19 GMT.

    Yes, that's 19:19 not 19:20. Don't ask me why!

Sorry to mention VAR, but with Liverpool's high line, if the linesman makes a mistake then Shrewsbury could get in. So it might cost Liverpool.

I thought the first 10 or 15 minutes the occasion might have been a little bit too big for Shrewsbury but then they grew in confidence and had two exceptional chances. They have taken advantage of Liverpool's high line but just the finishing has let them down.

Liverpool lead at the break but there's been promising signs for Shrewsbury.

  14. CLOSE!published at 45+2 mins

    Shrewsbury 0-1 Liverpool

It's whipped in by Shaun Whalley. Liverpool full-back Yasser Larouci doesn't get hold of it and it bounces dangerously before it's hooked clear.

Neco Williams then has to get an important toe in to stop Callum Lang shooting from the centre of the box.

Harvey Elliott takes a free-kick on the left and it's aimed at centre-back Joel Matip. He tries to head it goalwards but gets it all wrong and it bounces comfortably wide of the right post.

    Shrewsbury 0-1 Liverpool

A very good half from Shrewsbury so far with all things considered. They have had chances - big ones - and are only a goal down.

Liverpool have dominated possession but they haven't had too many goalscoring opportunities.

Callum Lang and Shaun Whalley linked up again. The pair of them are a real nuisance for Liverpool. Whalley again is running free but he can't get this on target. You feel Shrewsbury are just one moment from getting back into this game.
