Took my father to League Cup final 2011. Birmingham beat Arsenal 2-1 and my father never shut up about it for three months after. Birmingham got relegated the same season but I would not swap staying up in place of winning that cup on that special day. My dad passed away 18 months after that match and I can honestly say it was an honour to share it with him. Long live the cup competitions.

It's one of the areas where they've missed that focal point. Anwar el Ghazi has done well but they've missed a number nine.

He's only trained a few days but goes straight in. But sometimes thats the best thing. He could hit the ground running. Let's see what he's got.

I'm a Leicester fan who is very excited for the semi-final. This is such a great chance for some silverware and to go to Wembley would be a great occasion!

Aston Villa and Leicester City fans probably won't have been too excited about the League Cup at the start of the season.

But now they're 90 minutes away from Wembley and only two games away from silverware, they're probably feeling different.

If you support either team, let us know how important this game is to you? Your biggest of the season? Or would you prefer to focus on the league?

Another big question is whether Aston Villa will hand a debut to Mbwana Samatta, an £8.5m signing from Genk.

Villa have played their past four games without a recognised striker, following an injury to Wesley.

"There's always an adaptation risk when a player comes in from another country, and we've had a few this season," said Villa boss Dean Smith.

"We're not expecting him to hit the ground running straight away, but we know the qualities he has and hopefully he can bring them to the forefront straight away."

One big question as we wait for tonight's starting line-ups is about whether Jamie Vardy will play for Leicester.

He picked up a gluteal (that's a fancy word for bottom) injury in the 4-1 win over West Ham on Wednesday.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said yesterday: "I'd rather have an 80% Jamie Vardy. He's come through the last two days on the field well - he has a part to play."

Vardy is the Premier League's top scorer this season with 17 goals, although he has failed to find the net in his past five games.
