    QPR 0-0 Bristol City

Nahki Wells has had to make a do with a place on the bench for Bristol City today, but they've started well even without their new arrival.

Famara Diedhiou has had a couple of early sights of goal, the second of those forcing a smart save from Liam Kelly.

  2. Leaders Rotherham fight backpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    League One latest

League One leaders Rotherham fell behind to Jamie Murphy's goal for Burton, but the Millers are level - Michael Smith scoring.

Elsewhere, Blackpool are ahead at play-off chasing Oxford.

    Bobby Decordova-Reid (10 mins)

And a goal at Craven Cottage for Fulham.

Bobby Decordova-Reid with a sublime finish for the hosts.

He gathers it beautifully, ghosts past a couple of challenges and calmly slots it in. "Lovely goal!" as Barry Davies might have said.

Big goal in the big crunch game down towards the bottom of the Championship.

The hosts get the first punch in and it goes to Lyle Taylor on his return to the Charlton starting line-up.

Free-kick pumped into the box, captain Jason Pearce nods it on and Taylor reacts quickest to get in between a pair of defenders and poke it past the keeper.

    Leeds 0-0 Wigan

    Looks like Leeds mean business.

They come out of the blocks quickly and Helder Costa forces David Marshall into a good save and then Patrick Bamford flashes a header over the crossbar from a free-kick.

  6. Managerless Scunthorpe behindpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    League Two latest

Scunthorpe boss Paul Hurst left this week but after five minutes they've already conceded twice at Crawley - the first of which was disallowed. Jordan Tunnicliffe with the goal that counted for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, in-form Plymouth lead Newport thanks to on-loan Bristol City midfielder Tyreeq Bakinson.

  7. Postpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Leeds 0-0 Wigan

So a big test for Championship leaders Leeds to see if they can hold their nerve and ride the wave of that terrific midweek comeback against Millwall.

Wigan were a team to trip up Marcelo Bielsa's side up towards the end of last season with a surprise win at Elland Road. Will Paul Cook plot a similar upset today?

  8. Bottom side Bolton go aheadpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    League One latest

Bolton are bottom of League One because of their 12-point deduction but have taken the lead against relegation rivals Tranmere through Dennis Politic.

That would move the Trotters just two points behind Southend, if it stays that way...

Right then - here we go!

Teams are out, whistles have been blown.

Good luck to your respective club if they're in action this afternoon and may all your wishes be granted with three points.

There were a couple of deadlines of note going on last night so you'd be forgiven if you didn't quite catch every single last cough and spit of the transfer version.

If you missed any of the significant moves that were completed in time before the window closed on Friday, here's where you can see when and where they all occurred.

Connor Wickham heading back to Sheffield Wednesday for another loan spell was among some of the later ones to complete.

  12. Advertising board stops play....published at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

Oldham Athletic v Bradford City (15:30 GMT)

We've got a delayed kick-off in League Two due to what appears to have been a wobbling advertising board at Boundary Park.

Below is the latest on the situation which means they'll be starting 30 minutes later than originally planned...

  13. Swindon boosted by duo returnpublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    League Two

    Swindon TownImage source, Rex Features

Swindon Town may be top of League Two and five points clear of fourth-placed Plymouth Argyle, but they're not a club resting on their laurels.

In a bid to ensure they remain in the automatic promotion places right until the bitter end, they re-signed strikers Eoin Doyle and Jerry Yates earlier this week.

The pair were prolific during the first half of the campaign before being recalled by parent clubs Bradford City and Rotherham United - but they're more than likely to go straight back into the Robins team to take on second-placed Exeter City today.

The other particularly eye-catching contest in the fourth tier today is at Stevenage, where the English Football League's bottom side face 20th-placed Leyton Orient.

    Fratton ParkImage source, Rex Features

League One is well worth keeping an eye on this afternoon, with a couple of belting match-ups at the top end of the division.

Third-placed Ipswich Town face fourth-placed Peterborough United at Portman Road, while fifth-placed Sunderland travel to Portsmouth, in seventh, in a game that wouldn't look out of place in the top flight at what looks like a pristine Fratton Park.

There's one particularly decent-looking match at the bottom, too, as Bolton Wanderers take on fellow strugglers Tranmere Rovers.

The pressure's on Fulham this afternoon after Brentford's earlier win pushed them down to fifth.

The hosts can reclaim fourth spot with a win against Huddersfield and they're boosted by the return to their starting line-up of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Huddersfield meanwhile are looking for back-to-back wins in their continued bid to pull away from the drop zone.

Nahki Wells has had a busy old start to the year.

Having six goals in four matches to take his season's tally to 15 for loan club Queens Park Rangers, he was then recalled by parent club Burnley and subsequently sold to Bristol City for a reported £5m.

You can probably guess who Rangers will be hosting at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium today?

Good old football. This is one to keep an eye on this afternoon.

  18. Into must-win territory for the Tykes?published at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Charlton v Barnsley (15:00 GMT)

Charlton v BarnsleyImage source, Rex Features

Sure, it's only 1 February, but this game already looks suspiciously like a relegation six-pointer at the bottom of the Championship.

Barnsley have been slowly improving under Gerhard Struber, but back-to-back losses has checked that progress and the 23rd-placed Tykes go into today's game against Charlton Athletic, in 21st, six points adrift of the Addicks.

Charlton themselves have only won once since 19 October so this match feels a particularly important one.

  20. Time for the Baggies to bounce backpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

West Brom v Luton (15:00 GMT)

    Slaven BilicImage source, Rex Features

It's been a similarly poor run for West Bromwich Albion - albeit without the heroic midweek comeback to ease the growing concerns.

A 2-1 defeat at mid-table Cardiff City has not only allowed Leeds United to pull a two-point cushion on the now second-placed Baggies, but also left them on the brink of dropping out of the automatic promotion places completely.

Having been 12 points clear of third at Christmas, defeat at home to struggling Luton Town coupled with victory for Nottingham Forest at Birmingham City today would see them slip to third.

Boosted by the deadline-day arrivals of Kamil Grosicki from Hull City and defender Lee Peltier from Cardiff City, however, the West Brom fans will very much expect Slaven Bilic's side to get back on track this afternoon.

Neither Grosciki or Peltier though are involved to day so will be interested spectators no less.
