  1. 'Spain will be tough'published at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    England v Spain (21:15 GMT)

England's Manchester City midfielder Jill Scott is expecting to face "very difficult opponents" this evening.

"We knew we had to win that game [against Japan]. We know Spain are going to be a tough test - they played great against the USA," said Scott.

"The times that we have beat Spain, they have still dominated possession but we tend to hit them on the counter.

"We will be aiming to go into this game to build that momentum and hopefully still give us a shout of winning the trophy at the end of it."

  2. How are Spain getting on?published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    England v Spain (21:15 GMT)

Spain are ranked 13th in the world and this year are making their debut in the competition.

They beat Japan 3-1 in their opening game and held on until the 86th minute before losing 1-0 against World Cup winners the USA on Sunday to sit level with England on three points.

With a superior goal difference to that of England, Jorge Vilda's side are best placed to capitalise on any potential USA loss to Japan.

Just an update on those injuries...

Bethany England and Hannah hampton's have been confirmed as "slight ankle strains."

The training pitch wasn't in very good condition yesterday I've been told.

Lauren Hemp is out of the squad through illness. Steph Houghton has been "rested."

  4. Rotation offers big opportunity for Dugganpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

Phil Neville was always going to rotate. He made six changes in the last game and said yesterday he had 'three or four players with knocks' going into training.

It's a big chance for Toni Duggan, who impressed off the bench on Sunday and set-up Ellen White's winner. She hasn't started for England in seven months as she's struggled with niggling injuries.

Centre-back Abbie McManus hasn't started since August - the 3-3 draw with Belgium. And Leah Williamson is given another opportunity to show how effective she can be as a midfield option. It's her versatility which might give her an advantage when it comes to Team GB selection in the summer.

  6. Neville 'will know when to go'published at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

England manager Phil Neville said this week he "will know if it is the time to go" following a run of results that has seen his side pick up just three victories in their past 10 games.

Having led the Lionesses to fourth place at the 2019 World Cup, Neville has come in for criticism following defeats by lower-ranked sides.

He does, however, insist he still has the backing of the Football Association.

"I will know myself if it is not working. I will know if it's time to go and [the FA] know I'm that type of person," he said.

"Stability is the key to success and I am lucky I have that from the people I work for."

It's melting weather in Dallas today. Carly Telford and Jordan Nobbs admitted the England players struggled with the heat in Orlando after their defeat to the USA.

The Lionesses were out on the pitch an hour and a half before kick-off to check out the surroundings.

There were rehearsals for the national anthem and the staff going on at the same time.

As it stands, they are poised to set-up a trophy presentation for the USA, who will win the tournament if they beat Japan later.

If you've missed the SheBelieves Cup action so far, England's tournament started off with a disappointing defeat against world champions the United States in Orlando.

Here's the best of that match.

  11. Injuries hit the England squadpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

Two England players were protective boots when they came off the team bus and were using crutches. It's believed to be a precaution.

Bethany England is one of them. She picked up the injury in training and so did Birmingham City goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, who is with the squad as a training player.

  12. White leads England attackpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    England v Spain (21:15 GMT)

So, plenty of change for England this evening.

Phil Neville claimed there had been "a bit of disrespect" shown to striker Ellen White in recent weeks, following the Manchester City striker's winner against Japan.

White finished as the joint top scorer at last year's World Cup but started on the bench against Japan, with the Women's Super League's joint top scorer Bethany England starting up front in New Jersey.

It's White who gets the nod this evening, with England not involved at all...

  13. Team news - Eight changes for Englandpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    England v Spain (21:15 GMT)

Phil Neville makes EIGHT changes to the side who narrowly beat Japan on Sunday.

It's full of experience too as Ellen White returns up front, alongside Nikita Parris and Toni Duggan - who is making her first start since the 2-1 defeat to Norway in September.

Manchester United's Abbie McManus replaces Steph Houghton at centre-back, while Jordan Nobbs retains her place in midfield.

England XI: Telford, Daly, McManus, Bright, Greenwood, Williamson, Scott, Nobbs, Parris, Duggan, White

Spain XI: Panos, Moraza, Bonmati, Caldentey, Guijarro, Ouahabi, Leon, Garcia, Sosa, Sempedro, Pereira

  14. England look to end on a highpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2020

    England v Spain (21:15 GMT)

England's defence of their first ever SheBelieves Cup title has not gone completely to plan so far, though their 1-0 win against Japan on Sunday has left them with an outside chance of success.

Phil Neville's side face Spain this evening in their final match, requiring victory by at least four goals while also hoping world champions the United States fall to defeat against Japan later on.

It's improbable, but it's certainly not impossible.
