Image source, epaReal Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was adamant Gareth Bale would remain at the Bernabeu beyond the current transfer window when answering questions at his press conference this morning, external, ahead of Saturday's derby at home to Atletico.
"He's (Bale) with us and I'm going to count on him," said Zidanne. "I don’t contemplate the possibility of his departure. We're all here to play tomorrow and he has to be ready."
That was before Bale was left out of tomorrow's matchday squad.
The transfer window closes at 23:00 GMT in Spain.

Hull have already sold Kamil Grosicki to West Brom. Jarod Bowen is in talks about a move to the Premier League while midfielder Markus Henriksen is in talks with Bristol City.
They've bolstered their ranks with the loan signing of Peterborough attacking midfielder Marcus Maddison till the end of the season.
They are also interested in Motherwell's James Scott according to reports.

BBC Sport chief football writerThe regulations haven't affected them yet but they are close so they do need to get rid of quite a lot of players before they can spend quite as big as Carlo Ancelotti would like. Whether that means selling a big player in the summer like Richarlison we will see. Lots and lots of the shadow squad - like a Morgan Schneiderlin, Oumar Niasse or Cuco Martina maybe - will need to go to trim the wage bill and give them a chance of reinvesting.

We all know what he is like as a player at Rangers - a very good goalcscorer, very skilful. But he has a very short fuse. It would be a gamble and somebody might in the future, but not today.
