West Bromwich Albion are in talks to sign right-back Lee Peltier from Championship rivals Cardiff City.
Peltier, 33, is out of contract at the end of the season so could be available for a reduced fee.
The former Liverpool youth player joined Cardiff from Huddersfield Town in 2015 and has made 163 appearances for the Welsh club.
West Brom could be in need of a defender as their 19-year-old full-back Nathan Ferguson is close to joining Crystal Palace.
