Motherwell are showing their intent again, they're not just going to give up and sit back and wait for Celtic to hit them on the break. They're going to keep pressing and try to probe to get those chances...

The interesting thing from a Motherwell perspective is they're leaving their two wide players of their front three high up the pitch. Greg Taylor and James Forrest will be bombing on. It'll leave them very, very open and forces Celtic's three central defenders to come out and almost spread out to try to pick them up. It'll be really interesting to see how that develops.

  11. 'Little bit of luck' for Edouardpublished at 19:58

    Motherwell 0-1 Celtic

Terrific contribution from Leigh Griffiths running at pace to press and win the ball back. You're thinking Motherwell will be disappointed because it's four v two, and McGregor picks a great pass for Edouard who gets a bit of luck too, but you just know when it comes back to him he's going to hit the back of the net

  12. Staggies in the moodpublished at 12 mins

    Ross County 1-0 Livingston

Canadian midfielder Harry Paton picks up on the growing confidence in the Ross County ranks as he tries a first-time shot with his left foot from 10 yards, but the 21-year-old's effort is deflected for a corner.

  13. CLOSE!published at 11 mins

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton Academical

It's been a frenetic and scrappy start in Paisley with few chances in the opening 10 minutes.

With David Templeton back in their ranks, Accies look dangerous on the break as the former Hearts and Rangers man slaloms downfield and slips in Aaron McGowan up the right.

The marauding full-back's shot is deflected narrowly wide for a corner that the home team manage to clear.

  14. 'Dons cut open'published at 19:57

  17. goal

GOAL Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstonepublished at 7 mins

    Ali McCann

It's two goals in two games for the young midfielder, as he calmly dinks the ball over Joe Lewis for the opener.

The Aberdeen defence was posted totally missing as Liam Craig slipped him through. But what a composed finish.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 6 mins

Decent enough start from Motherwell, they have shown their intent to go and press. It'll be interesting to see if they can keep it up, because the first time they played each other this season they started well but tired and Celtic grew into the game
