At the other end Helder Costa rifles a shot just wide of George Long's goal.
Hull City 0-2 Leeds
Wonderful effort from Jack Harrison from 25 yards out comes back off the post with home goalkeeper George Long completely beaten.
After an indifferent first half Leeds are totally on top now.
Hull City 0-2 Leeds
Lovely, lovely close control from Helder Costa opens up a chance for a shot but George Long is equal to it in the Hull goal.
The build-up play prior to it really was brilliant.
Hull City 0-2 Leeds
Hull defender Sean McLoughlin had had the first chance of this second half moments before Leeds made it 2-0.
He could only direct his header from George Honeyman's corner straight at Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal and less than a minute later the visitors had made it 2-0.
Fine margins.
Hull City 0-2 Leeds
It's a booking apiece as Leeds striker Patrick Bamford and Hull defender Sean McLoughlin go into the back for a tangle on the halfway line.
Pablo Hernandez (47 mins)
Game over?
A Jack Harrison cross goes all the way to Helder Costa at the back post.
He shows superb composure to bring it down and just feed it in for Pablo Hernandez to slot home.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Leeds get us back under way.
As it stands they'll be going eight points clear of third-placed Fulham.
A reminder that the frankly terrible weather we've been experiencing here in the UK over the past few weeks means we've already lost four matches this afternoon, albeit one of those was postponed on Friday...
Everything else should be going ahead but if any other games do get cancelled we'll let you know here.
Friday: Portsmouth 3-0 Rochdale
There was no Friday night game in the Championship as there usually would be, but there was one match taking place in the third tier.
Promotion-chasing Portsmouth made it 10 home wins in a row in League One by beating Rochdale to move up to third.
Ryan Williams opened the scoring with a close-range finish after keeper Robert Sanchez parried a header from Christian Burgess into the path of the winger.
Ian Henderson hit the woodwork and Matty Lund tested home keeper Alex Bass as struggling Dale went in search of an equaliser.
However, Steve Seddon came off the bench to score Pompey's second before setting Burgess up for the hosts' third.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
It's probably the scoreline, if not quite the game, we expected.
Leeds took a fifth-minute lead through Luke Ayling's deflected strike and nearly made it 2-0 inside the opening 10 minutes when Pablo Hernandez's effort struck the bar.
Thereafter Hull have grown into it and, while they haven't drawn a save from Illan Meslier yet, boss Grant McCann will be pleased with how his side have restricted Leeds.
However, as it stands, second-placed Leeds are on course for a fourth straight 1-0 and it'll be 10 league games without a win for the Tigers.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Hull swing a deep free-kick into the Leeds area that Whites winger Helder Costa takes a massive swipe at.
Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal keeps his cool to claim the ball high.
He's an absolute giant so he was always favourite.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Heading towards half-time and Luke Ayling's deflected fifth-minute effort remains the difference between the sides.
Second-placed Leeds have dropped off after a rapid start, which also saw Pablo Hernandez hit the bar.
Hull have enjoyed quite a lot of possession but some poor decision-making in the final third means Leeds keeper Illan Meslier is yet to make a save of note.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Illan Meslier is making his league debut in the Leeds goal today.
The 19-year-old impressed in the FA Cup defeat by Arsenal in January and he's looked fairly assured with the ball at his feet so far today.
Hull will hope to test his shot-stopping abilities before the break.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Leeds haven't really had a shot since that Pablo Hernandez rocket that came back off the bar in the seventh minute.
They've won their past three games by one goal to nil.
Will it be enough today?
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
The hosts starting to grow into this now and enjoying a bit more possession in Leeds territory.
They had looked to be in danger of crumbling after Luke Ayling's fifth-minute opener for the visitors.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Jack Harrison sends over a dangerous cross from the Leeds left but there are no takers in the middle.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Couple of nice bits of interplay by the hosts but the ball ends up being crossed in way too close to Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal.
The teenager is making his first league start for Leeds today.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Slightly quieter spell of play over the past few minutes.
Hull have really got to try and dig in as Leeds winger Jack Harrison sends a deep cross way beyond everyone and out for a throw.
Hull City 0-1 Leeds
Leeds playmaker Pablo Hernandez rattles a fierce effort against the Hull crossbar.
The home defence is all over the place right now and this game is already in danger of getting away from the Tigers.
Luke Ayling (5 mins)
That didn't take long!
Pablo Hernandez shows neat feet over on the Leeds left before switching it over to Luke Ayling.
The full-back has a crack from 25 yards out that takes a huge deflection off Callum Elder and flies in.
Very much how things are going for Hull right now.
