At the top, it's advantage Chelsea in the race for the title, albeit only a slender one.

They know that if they win their seven remaining games, including, crucially, the one they hold in hand over Manchester City, then they will be crowned champions for the second time in three seasons.

The Blues also have a superior goal difference to City, meaning they could theoretically afford to drop a couple of points.

At the foot of the table, it's been a huge day for Bristol City, who boosted their survival hopes with a vital 1-0 win at relegation rivals Birmingham.

Former Aston Villa forward Ebony Salmon got the winning goal to add insult to injury for Blues, who slip to 11th.

They are just one point above Liverpool, who slip to the foot of the table after a 4-2 defeat at West Ham.

It looks like one from those three to go down, although all of the bottom three have at least two games in hand on Brighton, who were also beaten today.

"My stomach doesn't feel fantastic about conceding three goals but I will maintain it's a point gained."

West Ham are running away with this one now and Liverpool will be bottom of the WSL tonight.

"It could have been anyone's game. It was really tight. We're not happy with conceding three goals but it was a tight game.

"City are an amazing team. They have a good structure and they're really hard to beat.

"We could have done it today. I'm disappointed."

Meanwhile, they're back under way now for the second half at West Ham, where Liverpool are set to slip to the foot of the table if the scoreline stays like this.

Chelsea have taken four points from their two games against Man City this season, as well as six points off defending champions Arsenal.

They now have seven games remaining and if they win them all they will lift the WSL title and there'll be nothing their rivals can do about it.
