    Brighton v Tottenham (14:00 GMT)

Brighton continue to move closer and closer to guaranteeing their survival and a win this afternoon over mid-table Spurs would surely all-but ensure another year of WSL football for Hope Powell's Seagulls.

As for Spurs, who are having a very impressive debut WSL campaign, they could climb above Everton in to sixth today, if they win and the lunchtime scoreline in Merseyside remains the same...

  2. goal

GOAL - Everton 0-3 Man Utdpublished at 13:59 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Ella Toone (63 mins)

    It's game over on Merseyside.

Jane Ross gets the better of Everton full-back Megan Finnigan in the area and crosses low for Jess Sigsworth. She can't control the ball but it falls for Ella Toone to slam home from close range.

It's a day Everton will remember fondly off the pitch as they get used to their new home - but one they will be glad to forget on the pitch.

The top two sides in the WSL meet from 14:00 GMT today, knowing that the victors will have the destiny of the title in their hands ahead of the season run-in.

Leaders Manchester City go in to the game with a narrow one-point advantage over the visitors, but Chelsea have a game in hand.

Victory for either side would put them six wins from being crowned champions.

  4. Postpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Everton 0-2 Man Utd

It's still advantage to the visitors with an hour gone at Walton Hall Park.

Everton have looked brighter this second half but have not really threatened to cut the deficit.

A four-figure crowd has turned out to mark the Toffees' first game at their new home but, as things stand, most of them will be going home disappointed.

  5. Pressure rising in the fight to avoid the droppublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

Birmingham City v Bristol City (14:00 GMT)

As the battle to avoid the WSL's single relegation place intensifies, two of the main contenders for the drop go head-to-head this afternoon in a massive game.

Birmingham, in 10th, host bottom club Bristol City, who are one point below the Blues, who themselves have a game in hand.

It's a classic, proverbial relegation six-pointer and it's coming up at 14:00 GMT.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:49 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

    Lewes will take that.

The pressure has been growing as the half has progressed but the side sitting eighth in the second tier are holding the reigning Women's Super League champions.

Can they take this to extra time and penalties? There's still a long time to hold out yet.

  7. Postpublished at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

Lewes are praying for the half-time whistle now.

Jordan Nobbs floats over a delicious cross but Louise Quinn can't quite get enough on it under pressure and her half-volley drops straight for relieved Lewes keeper Sophie Harris,

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

Lewes keeper Sophie Harris will be kissing her right-hand post the way this is going.

A few minutes after Melisa Filis hits the upright from distance, Harris has a real escape as she miscontrols a backpass from Rhian Cleverley and Caitlin Roord pounces but can only turn her shot on to the post from a tight angle.

A real let-off for the visitors and Harris in particular.

This is a bit like one of those attack vs defence training drills.

Arsenal do have prolific Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema on the bench - but boss Joe Montemurro will prefer to give her a rest if he can.

Ten minutes to go until half-time and Lewes will be understandably delighted with the scoreline.

  10. Team news from the Academy Stadiumpublished at 13:32 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

Man City v Chelsea (14:00 GMT)

Here are the confirmed teams for this afternoon's huge game at the top of the WSL, as Australia star Sam Kerr returns to Chelsea's starting forward line for the first time since international duty.

Both teams are near-enough at full strength, long-term absentees aside.

Man City XI: Roebuck, Stokes, Bonner, Houghton, Scott, Stanway, Beckie, Hemp, White, Weir, Walsh.

Chelsea: Berger, Bright, Ingle, England, Ji, Reiten, Eriksson, Mjelde, Kerr, Cuthbert, Andersson.

This one should be fairly tasty, shouldn't it?

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:30 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

    The Gunners are getting closer.

There looked little on when Melisa Filis picked up the ball on the left edge of the box but she unleashed a quick strike that almost caught out Lewes keeper Sophie Harris, who was relieved to see it clip the post and go wide.

  13. Postpublished at 13:27 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

The underdogs just had a great opportunity to stun Arsenal with a two-on-two break but with Katie Rood in space, Emma Jones took the wrong option and tried to dribble into the area, and was dispossessed.

You imagine Lewes won't get too many chances like that and they will need to make the right decision the next time one arises.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Everton 0-2 Man Utd

    CelebrationImage source, Getty Images

Leah Galton's brace has given Manchester United a deserved 2-0 half-time lead in the first game at Everton's new Walton Hall Park stadium.

Casey Stoney's United are full value for their advantage, although Everton have had their chances too in an entertaining opening 45 minutes.

Jess Sigsworth made a hugely important block to prevent Everton's Danielle Turner pulling one back right on the stroke of the interval.

  15. Postpublished at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

If you had offered Lewes 0-0 with 20 minutes gone, they would have bitten your hand off.

They're defending really well thus far but the ball keeps coming back because the visitors are not able to get bodies forward into Arsenal's half.

  16. Postpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Everton 0-0 Man Utd

Just a couple of minutes until half-time on Merseyside and Everton are relieved to see double goalscorer Leah Galton flagged offside as Manchester United go looking for a killer third goal.

Everton really need to work out how to handle Galton in the second half before they can even think about getting back into this.

Toffees keeper Sandy MacIver saves well low down as Hayley Ladd tries to glance home a United corner. Everton really need to half-time whistle here.

  17. Postpublished at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

Unsurprisingly, Lewes are sitting back fairly deep in a bid to contain Arsenal and keep things tight early on.

It's worked to an extent although Jordan Nobbs has begun to get on the ball for the Gunners, pulling their midfield strings, and the England midfielder fires narrowly wide from just outside the box.

  18. Postpublished at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2020

    Arsenal 0-0 Lewes

Arsenal have fielded a mixed side against Lewes today with a few fringe players complemented by a sprinkle of first-team regulars.

They do have a League Cup final against Chelsea next weekend to factor into their thoughts, while the Gunners will also have a two-legged Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain in March at the back of their minds.

    Leah Galton (29 mins)

United are not just spoiling Everton's big day - they are positively ruining it.

Once again, it's Leah Galton who finds the net with a very similar goal to her first.

She gets the best of a far-post 50-50 with Danielle Turner and lashes across Sandy MacIver into the bottom far corner from the left edge of the six-yard box.

A long way back for the Toffees from here.
