Good choice of film Terry. DiCaprio in his early days... terrific.

Game over - just switched on a dvd instead with a less certain ending - the film is Titanic.

Raheem Sterling runs on to another cut back on the edge of the box and is desperately challenged.
"Villa are just hanging on here," says John Murray on 5 Live.
Dion Dublin is wondering if "this pitch is on a slope or something" given the one-way traffic.

The runs of Phil Foden are causing Matt Targett so much trouble. He can't see him, and I don't know why he can't. He's got to keep an eye on him. Villa are finding it really difficult when the ball is switched from left to right or vice versa. They're not finding their man.
Aston Villa 0-2 Manchester City
Manchester City are playing with a poise and just seem to be able to inject some pace into things in the final third and blow Villa away. Once again it's a diagonal over the Villa left-back Matt Targett and Phil Foden gets in. He pulls the ball down and Raheem Sterling powers a drive from 15 yards which Tyrone Mings takes on his chest. Corner.
Villa are clinging on by their fingertips here.

So come on then? What does Dean Smith do from here? Send your suggestions to #bbcfootball.
He needs a magic wand.

Aston Villa's fans started the game in great voice but they have been silenced by the domination of Manchester City.
It is all very ominous and has the makings of a very long 90 minutes for Villa and their supporters.

That is an absolutely fantastic corner from Ilkay Gundogan. He left it in an area, not trying to pick anyone out, it's landed bang on the penalty spot. Rodri loses his defender and heads it right next to the goalkeeper's legs, into the ground, and it skids past the keeper.
No challenge on Rodri whatsoever, it's really poor defending from Aston Villa and real quality from Manchester City. Shouldn't have been a corner but they didn't get the decision, should have defended better.
Rodri
Good teams can wipe you out in minutes.
A simple corner, Rodri loses his man in the middle of the box, just on the edge of the six-yard line and he slots a header low into the net.
Looking at the replays, it was probably a goal kick as the ball flicked off the belly of Ilkay Gundogan just before crossing the line.
Gundogan is feeling full with joy though.
Villa have cup final indigestion.
Aston Villa 0-1 Manchester City
Aston Villa are up against a wave here.
Raheem Sterling gets hold of the ball on the left side of the area and pulls one back for Sergio Aguero. He puts his foot through it and a superb sliding block from Bjorn Engels denies him.

Phil Foden has made one and nearly gets on the score sheet himself. He pulls a cross-field pass from Zinchenko down and attacks the full-back. Foden cuts inside and fires, with the aid of a deflection, just wide.
Aston Villa 0-1 Manchester City
Sergio Aguero has to be one of the most alive players there has ever been in a penalty box.
He seems to live in a parallel universe in that 18-yard patch, moving, shifting, finding snippets of space while others spend those split seconds dreaming.

We got told repeatedly how Jack Grealish would need the game of his life today. If he sorts this out then make him the next James Bond.

They just switched off. The left back, Matt Targett, just completely switched off, got in too close to Tyrone Mings, Phil Foden made a great run, got picked out by Rodri - and Sergio Aguero does what he does, made a good run, got across his defender.
That's not the start Villa wanted.
Sergio Aguero
Who else? His 10th goal in his last six starts against Villa.
If you can't pick the lock with intricate balls through a defence, go over them.
Rodri picks the ball up around 35 yards out, lifts his head and picks out a run by Phil Foden at the back stick. He arrives right on time, knocks it down and after one bounce Sergio Aguero stabs it home from six yards.
Villa behind for the first time in the tournament this season. What have you got lads?
Aston Villa 0-0 Manchester City
Aston Villa's switch to a back four from their last outing seems to not have caused too much of an issue for them. Their players look comfortable and the strategy seems to be to force City into wide areas and away from central attacks.
Villa win a free-kick on halfway and I like this... they send the big men up. No messing, get it in the mixer and see what it happens.
In it goes, headed away and City win the crucial second ball around the edge of the box.
Back come City....
Aston Villa 0-0 Manchester City
Aston Villa's team on the touchline are in deep conversation. Manager Dean Smith seems to be taking guidance from those closest to him, including John Terry.
Pep Guardiola is solo and active, shouting, waving his arms around, you name it.
Villa are deep again and have a throw deep in their half. The early pace we saw seems to have dropped off and it's become more chess like.
