Best chance of the match by miles and it fell to Norwich! Will they get another chance like it?

It's given the players some confidence either way because they are pinging it around Liverpool's high press with ease. The home fans applaud encouragingly.

Mohamed Salah then wins a corner a few moments later.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 36 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Liverpool

Nice from Norwich down the right but the move breaks down when Lukas Rupp tries to beat Virgil van Dijk with skill.

Moments later, Rupp gets in behind the defence, is one-on-one with Liverpool keeper Alisson, and tries to poke it to Teemu Pukki.

Alisson proves his worth again with a superb save, clawing the ball away just in time at the feet of Pukki. What a chance!!

Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross curls back into the middle by the wind, almost catching the Norwich defence out.

It's cleared only to Jordan Henderson, who lifts it into Naby Keita. He controls it with his knee then shoots early but there's not enough power on the strike.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's clearance creates a foot chase between Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Christoph Zimmermann.

The centre-back wins it but Liverpool get the ball straight back, with Andy Robertson racing away on the left.

His cut-back is intercepted just in time, with Mohamed Salah lurking in the six-yard box.

Qaaltagh: Why do so many teams try to emulate Liverpool's style of play? Norwich don't have the players to play out from the back and maintain a high press for 90 minutes. Yet they're trying to do exactly that. By half time they're all going to be completely exhausted.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain switches the ball over to Mohamed Salah, who is able to bring it down in the box.

He lays it off to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who doesn't catch the shot properly. Liverpool retain possession on the right but Salah loses out to substitute Jamal Lewis.

Uh-oh. Sam Byram has pulled up on the touchline clutching his hamstring. He immediately signals to come off.

Jamal Lewis is coming on for Norwich.

No surprise to see Norwich dropping deep. Their average positioning (on the left) shows just how much.

Liverpool have had 66% possession but haven't created too much.

The two teams are having to adapt and cope with the conditions that they are playing in. There's just been another bellowing of rain under the floodflights.

Liverpool have created the better chances so far. They are playing possession football with the occasional long ball and Norwich can't get hold of the ball at the moment.

Lovely run from Naby Keita, who dances past two players then side-steps another on the edge of the box.

He feeds it through to Mohamed Salah, whose throughball is cleared for a throw-in.

Trent Alexander-Arnold swings a lovely ball over to his opposite full-back Andy Robertson. Liverpool aren't fazed by Storm Dennis so far.

Although Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's cross then sails way over and out for a goal kick. Think it was more about the execution than the wind though.

A lot of Liverpool's attacks come from TAA's devastating long, crossfield balls. That's going to be nullified, thanks to Dennis, so it'll be interesting to see what alternative they come up with

Tim Krul is a cool guy. He has Mohamed Salah charging down on him but casually slips it left to Sam Byram, just in time.

Kenny McLean brings the ball forward for Norwich but the final pass through to Lukas Rupp, who had made a good run down the right, is poor.

Todd Cantwell is up against Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez on the left as Norwich build an attack.

He ends up loosing possession with a dodgy touch and Alexander-Arnold's clearance ricochets off him and out for a goal kick.

Moments later, Cantwell flicks it past Alexander-Arnold in midfield and wins a free-kick near the touchline. That's a battle to watch...
