  1. Celtic fans, would you take a point?published at 13:13

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

This game could go either way. From Celtic's perspective, they would love to win the game but the way the game has gone I think they would be happy leaving here with a draw. The game just hasn't flowed for them

  2. Main threatenspublished at 55 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Curtis Main, has possession wide left, but instead of waiting for support he flashes a hopeful drive from distance and Fraser Forster gathers comfortably at his near post.

  3. Aberdeen 1-1 Celticpublished at 53 mins

Referee Andrew Dallas keeps up with play before, inadvertently, becoming involved as he gets in the way of an Aberdeen attack.

It's a bounced ball for the hosts but Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham is onto the ball in a flash and the Dons fail to profit.

  4. High winds tempering high hopespublished at 48 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Celtic captain Scott Brown attempts to latch onto the ball after a clever dummy by Odsonne Edouard but Aberdeen's defence mop up the danger.

The hosts then roar forward and a mistake by Kristoffer Ajer almost creates a chance for the Dons but Celtic recover.

In truth, both sides are struggling for fluency amid the high winds.

  5. Edouard fouledpublished at 46 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard limps back into action after being chopped down by Andrew Considine. Small bits of debris swirl about the centre circle under the Pittodrie sunshine.

We're still tied at 1-1 early in the second half.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:01

Here we go in the second half. More goals please and plenty of them.

  7. Could Christie or Rogic be the key?published at 13:00

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

I would suggest Celtic need to look to their midfield and try to get some control. They've got two strikers on but there hasn't been any service to them. I think if Tom Rogic or Ryan Christie came on that would cause Aberdeen a problem or two

    @bbcsportscot

Kyle: Brilliant response from Aberdeen after the opening goal. Hopefully they keep up this level of performance in the second half. For the good of the title race, I really hope Aberdeen get at least a draw today. They have been excellent so far.

  9. 'Aberdeen probably the better team'published at 12:55

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Billy Dodds
    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

    Quote Message

Aberdeen will maybe feel aggrieved to not be ahead. They are probably the better team. They are denying Celtic space. It's been a good response to going a goal down from Aberdeen

  10. All square at the breakpublished at 12:52

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Callum McGregor broke the deadlock in the 10th minute but Ash Taylor restored parity with a stunning strike.

It makes for a fascinating second half at Pittodrie.

  12. It isn't 'flowing' for Celticpublished at 12:49

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It hasn't flowed for Celtic in the first half. The big difference for me is the way Aberdeen are much higher up the pitch and in the faces for Celtic. They've got a better structure in terms of closing down

  13. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 1-1 Celticpublished at 12:46

It's all square in the Pittodrie sunshine at the break. Callum McGregor's predatory finish gave Celtic the lead but the Dons came roaring back through Ash Taylor's superb effort.

Derek McInnes raced down the touchline on the cusp of half-time, clearly eager to speak to his troops about his second-half tactical plans.

For Celtic, Neil Lennon will be expecting more from the lethargic visitors after the break.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 43 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

It's been a frustrating first half for Leigh Griffiths. The Celtic striker has been feeding on scraps and is booked by referee Andrew Dallas for some incessant chatter after conceding a free kick.

Aberdeen defender Ash Taylor is booked seconds later for a foul on Odsonne Edouard.

  15. 'Easy decision for referee'published at 12:42

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Billy Dodds
    Former Scotland striker on Sportsound

    Quote Message

It's quite an easy decision for the referee. It's a dive from McLennan. There is hardly anything in it, if anything at all

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 40 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Oh dear. Connor McLennan takes a tumble in the box under the close attention of Christopher Jullien. However, there's no contact and referee Andrew Dallas brandishes his yellow card with an almost operatic flourish.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Aberdeen, pushing for a second goal, thunder forward through Funso Ojo whose fierce drive is beaten away by Fraser Forster like a grizzly bear swatting at a leaping salmon.

The Dons are beginning to motor...

  18. Sign of Celtic's frustration?published at 36 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Nir Bitton floats into Aberdeen territory from his central defensive position but the Israeli lashes a shot high and wide of Joe Lewis's goal.

  19. 'Celtic under real pressure'published at 12:46

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

I said before the game Aberdeen needed a performance and so far they are getting it. They are putting Celtic under real pressure. They're not giving them time to breathe or time to get in control of the game

  20. Thou shall not pass...published at 34 mins

    Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

Celtic have been unable to get the ball into the feet of Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths, That's partly down to inaccurate passing but also alert Aberdeen defending. The Dons appear determined to avoid a Celtic goal blizzard like that they suffered last October.
